Old hotel and not really clean. Hair on linen. The worst thing is no wifi connection at all because they are fixing it for days. The hotel should inform guests who want to book the hotel in advance rather than saying sorry after we arrived. Really bad experience as we are cheated.

We had a lovely clean room with sea view. Bed was huge and so comfy. Breakfast and dinner were delicious and very generous portions. Staff were all excellent, helpful, friendly and courteous. Couldnt do enough for us. Pool was lovely and clean although could perhaps do with being a couple of degrees warmer. We loved our stay here and will definately stay again.

Good location with friendly staff

Breakfast was fresh, Limited choice in the bar but what was there was very nice. Dinner was average (buffet). Water temperature in pool could have been much warmer. However, overall, very pleasant and good value for money.

Courteous staff, good breakfast

We were unable to travel to this hotel due to Tropical storm Amy closing down all roads and trains. I contacted the hotel to see if there was any refund for our rooms as this was through no fault of ours. This was the ONLY hotel throughout our entire 3 week stay that was unwilling to refund even a portion of our money. Even though we know that there were guest stranded there as well and using those rooms. Luckily our hotel in Glasgow worked with us and many, many others to help with this unfortunate situation. I will highly recommend all of the other 6 hotels we stayed at and tell everyone to steer clear of Muthu Alexandra Hotel.

Did not eat or drink at the hotel.

room was a bit cramped with very little space for 2 people and the shower room was also very tight for space. Glass shelf hanging over the small sink not a good idea! The decor in the public areas (staircases, entrance hall, etc) very tired, marks on walls, worn carpet. Breakfast ok, but buffet shouldn't have fried eggs lying for ages (hard and cold). No teapot or teaspoons available - very poor for a modern hotel. Pool area - dirty, unattended and really past its best. I reported an overflowing bin and showers not working properly to the front desk but as far as I could see no action was taken. Front desk staff were friendly, restaurant staff at breakfast a bit harassed by the feel of things. We didn't use the bar.

The room itself was warm and large. For the price it was okay

Breakfast okay, usual choices, more healthy options would be good. Dinner okay, nothing exceptional

Breakfast usual buffet selection. Rooms a bit dated with old brown furniture but bed firm and comfortable. Disappointed pool closed on Mon morning after we arrive so couldnt swim 1 day before breakfast. As only 2 day visit this was annoying. Otherwise pleasant stay but slightly overpriced.

Beautiful Hotel with incredible views of Oban.

Did not eat here as the kitchen was quite dirty. Front door glass was smashed. Probably the farthest hotel from the main town area. Parking was available.
