I arrived at the hotel at 7am getting off an overnight bus from Madrid. I rang the bell three times before getting in as no one answered it. The first thing the reception talked about was me ringing the bell repeatedly and Chinese people being impatient. I tried to tell him I rang the bell twice but no one answered. He didnt listen and his attitude was extremely unfriendly. I tried to check in but he said he could not do it until 1pm. I tried to ask for clarification as it says on hotels.com that the hotel is available for 24 hours check in. he did not care to explain and said he could only do it at 1pm. When I requested to leave my luggage there and come back later, he insisted that I had to apologize for ringing the bell for too long before keeping my luggage. I apologized under the circumstances, but he said,' Oh no, I am very sorry. As your servant, I should have answered the bell in 3 seconds when you rang the bell. I should also prepare your room a night earlier for you to check in at 7.' (exact wordings) I felt like he was mocking me and I felt really bad. He was not trying to help at all. While the room was alright, I will definitely not stay here again. Such an awful experience. Ps, my friend checked-in a night earlier at 1am, rang the bell a few times before being answered. The same staff asked them to sit in the waiting area for half an hour before checking them in because they rang the bell repeatedly. Just overall bad attitude from the staff.

The staff working on the night shift in reception was so rude and has super bad attitude that he shouted at us. He scolded at us because we asked for his help to fix the heater, saying something making us feel offenced. On the other hand, other staff was very polite. The room is satisfactory and clean.

Don't live here when the weather is cold. Because sometimes there will be no hot water, and the male staff will just reply "you are the only person who had this problem. You should turn the the switch to the other side, sometimes the hot/cold water direction will switch." All the equipment are old. The heater is not hot. The toilet bow will not stop the water after make a flush. The shower head holder is broken. The good part is good position and clean. The female staff is friendly. Overall, not recommended.

It’s a hidden gem. Some of the reviews are expecting too much for the price. It’s a basic room yes but clean and in the heart of Barcelona for cheap.

Very central and our triple room was relatively large abd comfy. For the price paid its a good deal.

Kumar was very nice, professional and the location is in a very nice area near to a metro station. The property was clean, big enough in a great condition.

Unser Aufenthalt war perfekt! Die Unterkunft entsprach genau der Beschreibung, war gemütlich, super sauber. Der Gastgeber war sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und immer erreichbar. Die Lage ist top, und wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt. wir würden sofort wieder buchen!

Todo muy bien! Muy amables , el edificio es antiguo pero los cuartos están modernos y limpios! Muchas gracias , además tiene ascensor , me permitieron dejar maletas al llegar y al salir para poder conocer un poco más! Lo único que podría recomendar es que el aviso del hostal no está visible y es un poco difícil de encontrar por eso! Muchas gracias por su buena atencion y contar con alguien en la recepción disponible las 24 horas en el lugar !!

The building is older but the rooms and hallways were new. Very clean room which was cleaned every day.. The staff were friendly and were ready to help when asked. I had problem with the TV and the staff were quick to fix it. Some rooms share a bathroom but I chose one that included my own one. I also had an outside patio which opened to the sky.

Id never stayed at a hostel before so there were reservations. But i can say this was a nice experience. Was the place dated? Yes. Was it no frills? Absolutely. But it was clean, check in was easy, the location was cool, and it completely served the purpose. If you plan on soend a lot of time in the room, this may not be the place for you. But if you want a place to be at while you explore the city, its a great choice.
