Pleasant ,quiet , with good sized room

Booked in early, very nice reception staff. Room wasnt ready so they gave me one that was. Room was huge and extremely well set out. Shower was amazing, and the bed...well i havnt slept that well in ages

BOOKED IN totally helpful - lovely rooms with balcony - great open areas to relax and generally just a great stop over for golf , gym was OK pool was lovely

Lovely modern hotel. We had a superior room and it was faultless! The location is tricky - just outside the Sotogrande gated community with a busy main road to walk down to get to pathways - it is however possible! Taxis are ready and waiting at the hotel but you pay 30euros return for a trip to the port. Hotel is definitely worth a stay and especially if you hire a car!

We enjoyed this hotel very much. The hotel is nicely done and the staff is very friendly.

The only downside to this property is that Ubers are very hard to come by

Beautiful hotel with lovely breakfast and good dining options throughout the day and evening. Room exceptionally good although aircon did not go as low as we needed given the high temperature outside. Just a pity that the receptionist on duty at the time of our arrival was decidedly unfriendly. Never smiled once. Clearly needs more training or moved to a non customer contact position. On checking out, however, the other receptionist couldn’t have been nicer. Staff in all other areas of the hotel were great and extremely helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay again as the hotel itself was fabulous. Just please make sure your reception staff smile 😀

So close to sotogrande Marina - beautiful decor and friendly staff

Reception staff generally warm and helpful. Restaurant staff customer service has room for improvement. The usual Spanish customer service and attitude that their doing you a favour by doing their job. The hotel itself is beautiful and everything is to a high standard

Front desk staff specialized in "Customer Prevention" with their rude, non-caring attitude. One man at the front desk was very helpful; the female staff should all be replaced. None of them could get a job at any US Marriott, Hyatt, or W Hotel. VERY unhelpful on even minor requests. Mini-gym, very tiny, limited hours. First day free room coffee packets and water; charged us for day two and three for using the small Keurig coffee pods and water. Would NOT go back. Beautiful area + marina + hillsides, but find a hotel that cares about guests.

This hotel was way better than I expected. Absolutely beautiful and most of comfortable bed I ever slept in. Highly recommend. Nice staff and brilliant breakfast spread

Beautiful hotel and grounds though a little far from Sotogrande and taxis or own car is needed. Fire alarm in room had a very bright, flashing green light which made it difficult to get to sleep

Stayed many times at the encinar, the staff are always friendly and helpful, great hotel, great service! 👍

Maybe it was the time of year but the hotel was absolutely soulless. Very cold welcome at reception. I had 2 big suitcases, 2 smaller ones plus a golf bag and the receptionist watched me as I struggled up and down steps and stairs to the rooms section IN TWO TRIPS!! The room was unbearably hot and was told next morning that the aircon is set to not go below 24 degrees this time of year. There was no gym or pool in operation and worse there was a lot of loud maintenance work going on every day at these areas. I asked for a plaster in reception at one point but no surprise to no avail. The breakfast was seriously limited to the very basic continental if even that. Everything was self service. Very very poor selection of everything…juices…bread (zero pastries)…fruit..just nothing substantial. The reasoning behind this apparently was because there was a football team staying and only “healthy” food was being provided. Literally no regard for the other visitors. Found this extremely disrespectful to the other visitors mind you there weren’t many others other than said football team. Location not good. You definitely need a car. Difficult to get an Uber in the area and taxi was at least €15 for a 4 mins drive to La Cañada golf course.
