This hotel is in the perfect location to visit the wall, the cathedral, and the main historic area. The staff were so friendly and helped us with anything we needed. Our room was very comfortable and I appreciated the great shower.

Keeping in mind that this is a small family run hotel in the Avila old town I am giving it my highest rating. This is not an international style 5 star, so don’t expect that. First the staff, some of which I presume are the owners, (José, Ricardo, Diego, Victor and one whose name I missed) were extremely helpful and friendly. It is clean, comfortable and quiet. The location is excellent, next to the Avila cathedral in the center of the old town. Everything is walking distance. Breakfast is European style, coffee , breads, cold cuts and cheese, very adequate for me, additional $. The restaurant has mixed reviews in google but my meal was very good and priced accordingly, no complaints. Nice wine list as well. There is WiFi which worked well, TV so-so but who’s here to watch tv? Parking is also additional $12 per night, but literally next door. Be advised that driving to the hotel is tricky. You will receive an email with detailed driving instructions. If you are good at following the instructions precisely you will arrive at the hotel parking. If you don’t, be prepared to drive around in circles for a while. So, in summary a good clean friendly place exceptionally well located with reasonable prices.. if I ever return I’ll stay her. Keeping in mind that this is a small family run hotel in the Avila old town I am giving it my highest rating. This is not an international style 5 star, so don’t expect that. O Hotel é muito bem localizado, pertinho da Catedral. O quarto é simples, porém aconchegante. Banheiro pequeno, mas bem limpo. Não tem elevador e fiquei no segundo piso, um problema para subir com malas. O anúncio dizia que tinha estacionamento, contudo é bem complicado chegar até ele, além do valor cobrado ser de 12 Euros por dia. Parei o carro fora da muralha.

Las Cancelas was a unique rather old fashioned Spanish hotel next to the Cathedral and had updated bathrooms . The room is very spacious, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. In spite of being downtown the place was very quiet and the staff friendly. The breakfast was very good and not pricey. I would definitely stay there again.

What a great little hotel! Room was clean, comfortable, well-maintained, and spacious with a good shower and historic touches such as antique light switches and exposed beams in the ceiling. Location by main gate and cathedral was perfect. Loved having a balcony style window that opened, overlooking the little narrow street. A dinner restaurant of the same name (owned by the hotel?) was located across the street in a cute alcove and looked appealing, though we only tried the bar, which was great. Thanks for a nice vacation, Hotel Cansales.

El hotel tenía previsto una reserva de una habitación para uso individual, cuando la gestión era para una habitación doble; cuestión solventable. No es muy “visual” habilitar mesas de comedor frente al mostrador de la Recepción. Se aprecia cierta descoordinación para dar y atender mesas en los comedores.

Una estancia perfecta. El hotel es bonito y está limpio. La ubicación es inmejorable, en las murallas pegado a la catedral. Tiene aparcamiento propio( muy importante). Un buen desayuno por 8€ y una terraza encantadora que se llama " los patios de la catedral". Pero lo mejor de todo es su personal. Muy muy agradables y atentos.
