We were misled by the good reviews until we actually stayed there for several days . It totally spoilt our holidays . The frontline staff are impolite , unprofessional & not helpful at all , which we would not expect in a 4 star hotel . The rooms are small , not user friendly with NO storage space at all ( not even a small drawer) . Only clothes rack is found in the room , no wardrobe ( not expected in a 4* hotel ) The worst thing is the bathroom ! The floor is really slippery , no safety handle installed , no anti-slip bath mat ! There is no privacy in the bathroom ( not as stated in their website .. private bathroom ! ) I literally have to step out the shower room naked to dress up in front of my roommate ! ! It's alight if you're couples ! The house keeping is not up to standard , the dustbins were left dismantled after room cleaning . The electric kettle is leaky , which is very dangerous . There is only 1 chair for 2 people to use , unacceptable in a 4 * hotel . We were only given 2 bottles of water on the 1st day , and was told that water was only provided for 1 day, unlike what they stated in their website ! ! Another amazing issue is tissue ... each room was provided with 4 pieces ( a small pack containing 4 pieces ) of face tissue for 2 people per day ! ! This was my 1st encounter in a 4* hotel ! I would never rate this hotel as 4* , 3 star is their max It's so disappointing to find such standard in this new hotel under chain management ! !

Room was clean and the bedding was good.The staff at the hotel were great, location was very central to all sites and attractions,my sister-in-law and brother-in-law had to be moved 2 times because the air conditioning did not cool the room. In my room the remote did not work 2 times and need to be replaced and it was done promptly.. They should install a shelf in the shower so you don't have to bend down each time to take you own soap or shampoo. A grab barwould would not be a bad idea also.

We had an amazing stay in Barcelona and this hotel was the perfect base for exploring the city. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel was clean and comfy.

We absolutely loved Occidental Diagonal 414 and we would return again if we have a chance to visit Barcelona again one day. The staff was kind and helpful and the buffet breakfast was excellent. Our room during our second weekend was better than our first with a more open layout change but otherwise everything else remained the same. Great quality stay and great location.

The room is cleaned and convenient location. Breakfast was pretty good and staffs were nice at breakfast area.

It was a very nice stay but they were the only place that charged us extra for kids even thought the website said that kids were allowed in each room free of charge.

Such a rich location, walking distance to the heart of Barcelona. Staff was great.

It was a small room but perfect for what we needed. The lobby was nice and reception staff very friendly and helpful. We thought the location was perfect - walking distance to a lot of sights but a very calm and safe area. The beds were somewhat firm and I would have liked the water pressure to be better in the shower too. Otherwise fantastic stay.

This was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed at in my life! Comfortable bed, good breakfast, close to public transportation, amazing staff and walkable to lots of locations. I will stay here again.
