We were misled by the good reviews until we actually stayed there for several days . It totally spoilt our holidays . The frontline staff are impolite , unprofessional & not helpful at all , which we would not expect in a 4 star hotel . The rooms are small , not user friendly with NO storage space at all ( not even a small drawer) . Only clothes rack is found in the room , no wardrobe ( not expected in a 4* hotel ) The worst thing is the bathroom ! The floor is really slippery , no safety handle installed , no anti-slip bath mat ! There is no privacy in the bathroom ( not as stated in their website .. private bathroom ! ) I literally have to step out the shower room naked to dress up in front of my roommate ! ! It's alight if you're couples ! The house keeping is not up to standard , the dustbins were left dismantled after room cleaning . The electric kettle is leaky , which is very dangerous . There is only 1 chair for 2 people to use , unacceptable in a 4 * hotel . We were only given 2 bottles of water on the 1st day , and was told that water was only provided for 1 day, unlike what they stated in their website ! ! Another amazing issue is tissue ... each room was provided with 4 pieces ( a small pack containing 4 pieces ) of face tissue for 2 people per day ! ! This was my 1st encounter in a 4* hotel ! I would never rate this hotel as 4* , 3 star is their max It's so disappointing to find such standard in this new hotel under chain management ! !

Lovely hotel, but not sure why it has a sign on the desk saying it is Chinese friendly. It may give impression that Barcelona is not.

We absolutely loved this hotel. It was in a very walkable neighborhood and very quiet. The staff was so helpful with everything. We would definitely stay there again.

room was beautiful &clean ..

This is a beautiful hotel in center city on a main street. Lots of shopping and walking distance to hop on hop off tour bus. Beautiful views from our balcony. Staff is very nice and has a restaurant and Will bar. Will definitely stay here again.

Occidental 414 was a great place with a high level of service and comfort. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Views of the street from the hotel room were stunning but not all rooms have the same view. Breakfast was spectacularly delicious and offered a great variety of foods. Something for everyone!! We stayed on the first floor and did notice the regular light rumble of the metro. But this did not disrupt sleep. Rooftop terrace and pool were a lovely place to relax and enjoy the view. The hotel is not cheap but the neighborhood was not crowded and the location was perfect in my opinion. Public transportation was easy to access!! Would have like a little more space in our room but the high ceilings were nice touch.

Staff was very friendly. Hotel is very nice and had a great breakfast area. Only complaint would be that the shower was moldy and leaked water from show to bedroom floor. Moldy outside shower glass frame as well. Bed was very comfortable.

Very clean and modern design. Only thing I didn’t like is the bathroom set up. Shower water is low and not able to get towel easily.

A fabulous property! We had a deluxe room with a terrace - it was fabulous! Whilst you can only have breakfast at the property their recommendations for dining were awesome. Loved every minute!

This property does no offer coffee machines in their rooms even though it says on the room description, if you like to drink coffee in the morning this is not the place for you to stay. We asked and they said that some rooms have nespresso but not all, they just put a kettle

We had a great stay at this hotel! The staff was friendly, and my room was clean and comfy. The roof top pool was nice.It's in a good spot, close to dining and shopping recommend this hotel.
