Hotel was really nice, nice rooftop pool and bar area, really good breakfast

We loved the roof top restaurant and bar, the staff was amazing and the food was excellent, and sometimes there was music too.

Perfect location for Kandy, nice pool, good breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, especially the manager. A perfect start to our holiday in Sri Lanka

**Ramada Inn Colombo International Airport – Review** I recently stayed at the Ramada Inn near Colombo International Airport and had a generally pleasant experience. The hotel is conveniently located for easy access to the airport, though the surrounding area is quiet and lacks much to do, making it ideal for those looking for a peaceful stopover. The hotel staff were truly exceptional. They went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed, always with a warm and friendly attitude. Despite the hotel being on a budget, the staff’s dedication to providing excellent service really stood out, and I was very appreciative of their efforts. The hotel itself is a bit dated, and the buildings show signs of age. Some areas could use renovation to bring them up to modern standards, but it didn’t detract too much from my stay. The rooms were still comfortable and well-maintained, and the cleanliness was impressive. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The restaurant offered a wonderful selection, and I was especially pleased with the French entrees, which were a pleasant surprise. I didn’t try the buffet, but the à la carte menu was delicious, reasonably priced, and well-prepared. Overall, while the Ramada Inn Colombo could benefit from some updates, the exceptional service from the hotel staff and the great food made my stay enjoyable and comfortable.

In many ways, a standard business hotel--but one in an exotic and interesting location. My room was fine, but the views of the lake and the hills/mountains opposite were really nice. Just be sure to keep your sliding doors locked: there really are monkeys and they really can get onto your balcony -- even though that looks impossible at first! I originally booked a three night stay, which I ended up extending a couple days. The general manager and staff worked hard to keep me in the same room and set up a day tour to Sigiriya and Dambulla (and I added an elephant safari). I'm sure I paid a bit more by going through the hotel, but the driver/guide they found me was excellent. The hotel has some good eating options and there is an excellent pizza place just a bit further up the hill. The location is great: a short walk down to the lake and maybe 15 minutes further into the city center, an enjoyable lakeside hike. Overall, a very solid choice in Kandy.

Very comfortable stay. Great views over Kandy. WiFi access was poor. Swimming pool has only 10 loungers, despite the hotel having many rooms over 3 floors. This hotel is used extensively by tour groups, during one day of our stay 8 coaches arrived. This impacts on housekeeping services and the 2 available lifts.

This propert is excellent,breakfast is very filling and variety was offered,the room temperature seems to be set at 24c when adjusted it defaults to 24c,the temperature out side was 33c,highly recommend this hotel .roof top was great.

The hotel staff were all very helpful- restful place to stay in Kandy. Very nice rooms and food was great- especially the buffet. Great service in buffet.

Dining in is difficult everyday at least two large tourist coaches - so meals are not relaxed and intimate. The pool is tiny. Watch out for the musicians upstairs and getting locked in to tips. Otherwise staff were friendly, polite and helpful.

Had a wonderful time at this excellent hotel. Wonderful and helpful staff, excellent amenities good food and panoramic view of the beautiful Kandy made gave us wonderful stay. Top floor with a swimming pool and a bar is an ideal place to watch arriving flocks after flocks of white birds, mostly Egrets.

Very comfortable, clean, helpful staff and great breakfast for our one night stay.

It smells of mold in the rooms

My third time at this hotel. While I generally prefer to support a boutique hotel, all exceptions are made to come to Radisson Kandy. And I have yet to question our choice! Irfan, the front desk manager has a superior grip on the comings and going at this hotel. No guest question /problem/concern goes unaddressed-- and his staff follows his lead. The trainees are really more like interns and on a clear management track. The level of anticipation, overall Customer Service, and passion for your enjoyment is unrivaled here in Kandy. As "repeaters", we were greeted like utter royalty, given an upgrade and lovely chocolates in the room as well as comped for breakfast. I can't remember feeling so welcomed anywhere in the world! The staff works Harmoniously and they have a heart for their guests. You feel it, despite the hotel's size. The hotel functions quite well and the restaurants have superior lake views with quite good food to boot--- and even live music (not deafening, quite pleasant, see photo!) at one rooftop spot. Where their seemingly endless repertoire floated from one language to another based on guest requests-- rather astonishing! Management has made many improvements and, as the largest hotel in Kandy, strives for seamless one or two night turnovers and I can confirm that they have got it down. They are developing a concept for a Spa (beyond the current one)-- so no doubt, visit #4 will provide further delight! You will be GLAD that you have picked this hotel.

Lovely stay in this hotel. It is beautiful perched on abit of a hill and if you are lucky you will have great views over the Kandy lake. Very convenient to get to the train station. The breakfast was delicious and staff very friendly. One point that slightly surprised me… I was alittle early when I arrived and my room wasn’t quite ready. I asked if I could leave the luggage with the hotel and I would go out for a walk and come back in an hour or so. They said fine but I was surprised to find the luggage was just left by the front entrance of the hotel by some staff who maned the doors. They were very busy with coach trips arriving and leaving, the luggage could easily have been taken on purpose or by accident. I stay in many international hotels and usually there is always a concierge or separate room luggage is taken to and you’re given a ticket to collect this… considering this is a Raddison hotel it was strange none of this was in place. It is a great hotel but please be aware of this if you want to leave luggage, there seem to be no system.

Very nice hotel. The view and food was great.

Rooms were small. Lots of tourists. Crowded. But the staff were very nice and attentive.

The staff were lovely. But the cleanliness was awful. The room was dusty and sticky and there was even a false nail the floor. Needs a refurb. The smelt musty and the carpet in the corridor was filthy with scuffs all over the walls. Not a 5* more like a basic travel lodge in the uk.

Excellent location with easy walk to Kandy Lake and Tooth Temple. Staff were very courteous and professional. Room was very clean, modern design and breakfast buffet was of high quality and plenty of choices. Great value for the stay. We had a fantastic view of the lake and city from our balcony.
