We were upgraded to a fabulous 2 bed suite. The staff are amazing, so helpful. The restaurants produce high quality food. We’ve stayed in this hotel before and it is consistently a high quality experience. The downsides are low water pressure which meant showering takes a long time and the condition of the beach, lots of plastic debris and there was an algae bloom during our trip, completely out of anyone’s control of course, but the beach should be cleaned daily. The hotel should focus more on reducing the use of single use plastic water bottles, they use 1000’s a day and there are better, more cost effective options. . Oman is expensive to visit so travellers should be aware of the costs involved when planning their trip. We used to live here so were prepared.

Breakfast was divine, pool amenities & spa outstanding!

We enjoyed our time here but had a few issues. The good: First off, the hotel and grounds are stunning. Truly it’s out of a movie! The lobby is really breathtaking. The rooms were very clean and housekeeping was great. They provided a lot of bottled water which is so appreciated. The breakfast buffet was just fine-typical buffet in this area and the place you eat is beautiful. The pool bar had good food. Our issues were with the high cost of food and an event that led to having to make a noise complaint. It’s an RC hotel, so the price was perhaps to be expected but everything is SO high. And the night we stayed, a wedding began at 3 and blasted music right by our room until 10. Management did offer some compensation, which we appreciate, but only after complaining. Not sure what the other guests who also were paying hundreds a night did. The staff was pleasant but not friendly. Overall, I would recommend but maybe just one night to experience it.

The hotel itself is incredible, the lobby is amazing and the amenities are brilliant. We were lucky enough to get upgraded at check in so our room was perfect as we had instant access to the pool. The staff was brilliant as well and it’s a brilliant place to stay if you plan on relaxing at the beach and just swimming. However, there’s nothing around the area in the hotel. You can’t walk anywhere as the hotel is in a secluded place and trying to get a taxi is difficult especially during the evening. If you’re not a fan of the food in the restaurants at the hotel, you’re only option is to order food in.

Reception staff were helpful. Signage was poor. Service at breakfast was poor. When I asked for service I was told to go to the chef as it would be easier which I thought was rude. Room wasn’t cleaned until the afternoon. Appreciated request for early check in. The steps in the lobby are a hazard. May consider a hand rail to alert guests that there are steps they need to navigate.

The best hotel I stayed at in Oman. Attentive staff (thank you for the upgrade!), incredible breakfast buffet, great gym & other amenities. Mountain view from the room terrace was very beautiful. Look forward to coming back for a longer stay.

Comfortable and naturally beautiful

welcome and check in was horrible, one picks the rirz because of the magic it brings along, this stay started off horribly. i wanted to turn around and leave instantly. however, the staff listened to how unhappy i felt and made the rest of our stay magical as expected. other than that, the ritz is the ritz, amazing room, food, views, and after being disappointed in the beginning a lot of attention to detail in the end.

The hotel, especially the grounds and views were amazing! 10/10! The hotel has a beautiful pool view, ocean view and mountain view! The rooms were beautiful and kept well. The staff would not let you lift a finger. I had a late flight and I was allowed a 3pm check out at no cost! I did come across some amazing staff that went above and beyond, extremely inviting and friendly and I would like to mention by name: Fajrul and Zablon from the outside pool bar and restaurant which was my fave place.. and Blaise who was our waiter who never stopped smiling at the 1st floor restaurant and the lovely Manval (names could be spelled wrong) from the same restaurant were so accommodating and warm… oh and that restaurant had the best buffet I had ever been to! So much variety.. just a great experience. I hope to be back one day.

Everything is excellent and superb. Pick this place if you want to experience true relaxation!

Al round 5 star Exceptional staff

Amazing start to finish, staff always eager to help. The minibar fridge packed in, and they replaced it with a brand new fridge within minutes! Attention to detail was amazing like remembering my coffee order each morning before me even saying. The Atrium Lobby is the single most spectacular lobby I have ever seen in my life, with the gorgeous chandeliers and intricate work on the high ceiling. Pictures and videos don’t do it justice. 4 pools, including a women’s only pool and women’s only beach which I appreciated. Never over crowded or busy, I guess people haven’t figured out this holiday spot yet. I hope it stays that way! All you can eat lobster at the the seafood buffet which was a real treat. And a massive farewell at our last dinner at the Pavillion where they went the extra mile. We were treated like royalty at the Bustan Palace and will certainly pay be back. I have been thoroughly spoiled and no other hotel chain will ever compare. Dare I say the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at.
