Overall, we were disappointed. Trust the reviews - this place is need of some serious improvement. Although we did receive a free upgrade (this was a nice surprise, I guess), all the rooms look the EXACT same. Literally. Only difference is east/west facing and a *slightly* better view. We had a pleasant check in experience. This is where the pleasantries truly ended. Upon entering your room, we noticed chipped paint on the walls, unkept corners filled with dirt and derby, no toilet paper / tissue and no additional blankets (we found out we were suppose to be supplied with two. We asked for an additional one from the floor attendant in addition to towels that weren't wet..fun, right? They never came. Now the BAD. The staff here needs a serious attitude check. 75% of the interactions we had with the front desk (post-check in), pool, bar, cleaning, customer service staff were beyond RUDE. Maybe it is their ‘normal’ day-to-day routine but when you’re paying $500+/night we would NOT expect that poor of service. For example, we were laying out by the pool in the dusk hours and asked THREE different times to NOT close our umbrellas as we were quite hot and frankly a bit burned, but wanted to remain outside as it was our last sunset. The final time the pool boy pretended to not hear my pleas and took the umbrella without a word. I was beyond furious. The front desk made no effort to amend the situation. The food was delicious and the drinks were strong. Overall, not great :(
