I was suppose to have an ocean view and it so was not. It was partial and the view was not clear just could see the ocean. I was advised that my room being not the greatest was due to buying via Expedia.

The property has a fantastic location, and is minuets walk from other things to check out. We travel a lot and the beach here is as nice as anywhere we have been yet. I will say the rooms were clean and neat, the bed "for me" was a bit stiff, but that is preference for sure. I know one thing that needs immediate attention is the stench around the pool bar. It literally smells like stomach bile. Its actually disgusting. I own two businesses and I am not the first to bring this up. Fix it. All and all the food was good, and most of the staff were decent.

It was a beautiful property I really enjoyed the ocean view. The staff was really lovely. The food was fantastic and great service from the staff. It was a beautiful view of the ocean and just really enjoyed our stay there.

We recently stayed at the Riu Resort in the Bahamas. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the staff were consistently friendly and welcoming. However, the overall experience left much to be desired. Service was slow — we had to call multiple times for basic requests like extra towels, pillows, and to fix our in-room safe, which was never repaired. The AC went out across the resort on our first night with no communication from staff. As a pregnant guest in 27°C heat, it was extremely uncomfortable and almost made us consider leaving, though it was resolved after 3 hours. We also experienced power outages on two days, one just before I was about to shower. The food was a major letdown. The à la carte restaurants were unorganized, with underwhelming dishes — the lobster was rubbery, the steak lacked seasoning, and basic requests during meals were repeatedly missed. The buffet had little variety despite being marketed with nightly “themes.” On a positive note, housekeeping was consistent when we left a tip and requested cleaning, and the beachfront was stunning and well-maintained. While we loved the Bahamas and plan to return, we wouldn’t stay at this Riu resort again. Food and service are key parts of a vacation for us, and sadly, this resort didn’t deliver.

The property was getting an outside facelift. First room, found a roach. They wanted to leave us in there and spray but did allow us to move rooms. Next room, toilet didn’t flush well. Otherwise room was good and well stocked. Food was really good. Drinks were good. Pool tiles chipping off.

Very friendly staff and lots of things to do

People were great. Food and drinks were great. The only drawback was the elevators were very slow. Otherwise we had a great time

Many things during our stay this time really reversed from our last stay there. 1) we struggled with elevators that were broken down all week, and the staff tying up the customers elevator with carts and equipment. 2) WATER, is drinking water such an expensive commodity? My wife and I do not drink alcohol from the minibar or the room, but we do drink a significant amount of water for medical reasons, I asked the minibar attendant for ONE ADDITIONAL SMALL BOTTLE OF WATER and he would not give it to me even after explaining the need and asking several times he CHOSE TO UPSET THE CUSTOMER RATHER THAN GIVE ONE ADDITIONAL BOTTLE OF WATER. I ASK HOW STUPID IS THAT? The man's name was Brochard or Bouchard, not sure of the spelling, but let me say that this man would not work for me very long. I hope the Riu considers the fact that they have lost a customer as we will never return but saved a bottle of water due to the DUMB Thinking of this man. We Checked out 3 days early, due to medical reasons.

Property was fine. Food was better than average.

The property is an older hotel. The best part of this property is that it's close to Atlantis.

The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The all inclusive was nice but you’re only limited to 4 coca colas a day, and that’s not enough when you don’t drink alcohol. It was extremely hot, the AC only worked for a few hours of the entire stay. Staff was rude, it would take hours to get any service. Never even used room service bc it took so long to just get toilet paper. They don’t clean your room every day, even when you ask. The hotel is in disrepair. The staff, was visibly homophobic to us, although we didn’t show any public affection whatsoever. This was a horrible experience. The tap water is so nasty, that you can’t drink it or brush your teeth with it, you have to use bottled water for everything. Also, there was only 1 working ice machine for the entire resort on the 14 floor. None of the others worked. For 3 days, there was only 2 elevators and the employees used them mostly and they would take priority over the guests.

I and my girlfriend spent 5 days there and that was so good when they got a nice beach, friendly staff and good food.

Loved our stay here for 3 nights. Very friendly staff and all amenities are to notch. The variety of food choices and quality in buffet and the sit down restaurants were great. Rooms were very clean and they even had a mini-bar. Every night there were shows to keep you entertained at night. Cabs were easily available to get to Nassau from the rest. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Bahamas.

I wanted so badly to love this place. This was my first trip to the Bahamas and we chose the RIU based on its reputation at other resorts. Let’s start with the positives: the beach surrounding the property is gorgeous. The pool area is nice and the staff is wonderful. But the inside of this place is extremely outdated. The rooms looked so old and have not been renovated in ages. Peeling ceilings and leak spots that had not been repaired. There was no shower door! So much for privacy and the bathroom was TIGHT and small. So tight that I could not open the bathroom door without hitting the toilet. Speaking of the toilet it was stopped up because something was going on with the plumbing. They were quite responsive in handling it but it was a hassle. In The first room we had the AC stopped working. Within 2 hours were placed in a new room and within 3 hours the AC stopped working in there. We were so over it we didn’t even report it because we were leaving the next morning. The food in the main cafeteria was alright but the restaurant options were not good. The hassle of having to book through the app and waiting was just NOT worth it. We opted to eat locally which was a great choice. We dined at Poop Deck ( good but expensive), Goldie’s (excellent) and Gourmet Seafood House (outstanding). Overall, highly dissatisfied with my stay here and will not be coming back. But shoutout to Daphne at the front deck who was kind and sweet. Also as a plus the spa was great.

I would have liked the entertainment to have been better.

The rooms were fine. The food could be better!!

We had a great time and the staff was very friendly. The only down side was the food is average at best.
