When I purchased a room at Extended Stay America Suites San Jose Sunnyvale for a very special trip, I thought with the word Suites in the name meant that it would be a little more updated and well tended, but that's not what I got. The check in was just over an hour long with one employee and one manager clicking his pen in the back (we could hear it) and when I arrived only 4-5 people to be checked in. The lady who checked us in answered her cell phone and left the room for over 5 minutes in the middle of a check in, and was texting in between customers waiting on their cards to clear and computer to load. I was booked for a queen bed, it was definitely a full as I own a queen so I could tell. The room was bare without even shampoo or a coffee maker, you had to order them at the front desk, and after check-in this DID NOT seem promising, so I didn't even bother.
In the end, if you want a suite-like room with a kitchen that feels home-ish for the night, this is not the place for you. I would compare this place to be more like a Motel 6, but those are almost better, at least you have a coffee machine option in your room before arrival and half the price if not more than that!. Sorry to be rude I am just VERY disappointed with what I paid for the room it was definitely NOT a suite.
