First day breakfast was sparse and no one to top up or tent Second day there was one person running around alone and by the time the food was topped up most guests had left The rooms were sub par , damp in the bathroom Lack of plugs and lighting in the rooms Gym is well equipped , the swimming pool is outdated Beautiful location and stuff over all very friendly

We upgraded as we were looking forward to a arelaving treat for me and my partner. The upgrade was supposedly their best room which was full of cobwebs in the lounge area the bedroom and the bathroom and their dust everywhere and even worse inside the wardrobe it was thick with dust unableto put clothes in their . The furniture was falling apart and pieces missing off bits of furniture also. After I booked i was told breakfast last call was 10.30 am . We turned up at 9.45 to be told breakfast had stopped at 9.30 so we had to leave early and go buy breakfast at a local cafe. Extremely disappointed with this stay honestly I wouldn't recommend it to anyone the facilities are ok but the rooms are terrible. Im going to get a refund as im upset with the service , cleanliness of the room and booking bed and breakfast to not be able to have breakfast as it was stopped at 9.30. Really disappointed better service hotels for the same money do not recommend.

Stayed here many times, Lovely hotel, but does look bit tired and needs a bit of TLC. Staff are very helpful, but the hotel is looking tired.

Staff pleasant, breakfast adequate, room run down and tatty did not live up to my expectation. A place where 2 of Henry VIII wives stayed was a plus so was the pleasant surroundings

I have stayed here before and this time was just as lovely as previous visits. Breakfast was great and the room was clean and spacious.

Lovely stay, clean and comfortable bedrooms. We really enjoyed our breakfast. We used the swimming pool and steam room twice, and the changing rooms and showers were very good. It was also a good price and we will be returning again soon.

The staff were excellent! They were friendly, polite and helpful it felt like they enjoyed working there. The food was really good too the portion sizes were spot on too, we only stayed one night but we had a relaxing time and enjoyed ourselves

Breakfast was lovely staff were wonderful and helpful had a lovely few days looking forward to going back later this year

The room was very clean, but very tired. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls the lights in the bathroom were flickering loads and took ages to turn on. The bath was very chipped and when you ran the taps the water leaked all across the top of the bath. The bed had lovely bedding but the bed was way too soft and ended up with snacking back in the morning. Room very hot as well.

Horel is in need of an upgrade Really outdated and poor condition. Rooms and decor are tired. Not much choice at breakfast

The room is really outdated and not commensurate with what was paid for it. No heating on so entire stay was really cold.

Relaxing and well laid out Spa and gym. Very friendly staff and very welcoming Plenty of parking Rooms were warm and comfortable

Room was nice and clean. Mattress was a little uncomfortable. The staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. Spa was so nice and relaxing. Plenty of parking with no issues

The room was large and although somewhat dated, was clean. The Restaurant? Food was expensive and very poor, the drinks were expensive. On Tuesday morning we were told breakfast was finished at 0900, when clearly it states 0930, the food left was cold, nobody was interested in then providing hot food. The pool and spa facilities were not as advertised, the hot tub was not working, the steam room was not working, we were there for 4 nights. We only ate in the first night as the food was so poorly presented, I personally had burger at £21.50? I think. I was presented with a dry burger bap with a dry burger no garnish, no presentation, the guy took it away and added a bit of lettuce and melted some cheese. He generously said he wouldn't charge me for the extras?. I wouldn't recommend this to people as they would be disappointed and would suggest they drive out to eat, as there are some decent pubs/ restaurants quite close. Hanbury Arms, Harvester etc all good value. The Cwrt Bleddyn are content to take your money, but not address the underlying problems of the whole place needing a good overall decorating, modernising, instead of just taking your money and burying there heads in the sand.

The restaurant booking (made via phone) didn’t mention a set menu the day before Valentine’s Day. The choice of sea bass or steak only meant I would have booked elsewhere. It took hours to be served my bowl of fries and I went to bed hungry. We spoke to the largely incompetent staff, no one was bothered or offered to put it right. My husband did try the steak, bland and basic. Breakfast was cold sausages and bacon, no milk, no glasses, no spoons, cold coffee and two tiny pastries. I offered these to the couple behind me as they were the last two. I’ve emailed the hotel as this was an expensive rip off and heard nothing. Such a shame as it is a stunning country house hotel we have enjoyed in the past,

Our room was massively spacious and included everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Breakfast buffet enjoyable and had a lovely time at the spa, staff all seemed very happy and taken care of

Room was fine, wobbly tap and cold tap would be hot for 10 seconds before going cold. The Pool, steam room and sauna are run down and need a good once over. Jacuzzi was out of order. Food in the evening was nice. Guinness took 30 minutes to come at one point, only hickup. It’s a cheaper alternative to others, so you kind of get what you pay for i guess. Just needs some updating and work on, and it really would be a little gem as the staff, building and grounds are lovely.
