This is a very nice hotel and the rooms are spacious. We are satisfied with this comfortable stay experience. But I think a minor thing may need to be improved. The temperature of bath/shower is not very steady, and it dropped down after several minutes. Besides, the water from tape also took several minutes to become warm. Since we visited in April and it is still a bit cold, when I washed my hands I felt a bit freezing. It would be better to access hot water more easily.

Staff friendly, clean room. Extremely comfy beds and pillows. Lovely breakfast. Ease of parking. Position of hotel is perfect for town centre and new theatre.

Worst night sleep ever

Excellent staff and great location

The Leonardo Cardiff is a really good hotel. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfy as was 3 out of the 4 pillows. I loved that there was handwash in the bathroom (which a lot of hotels dont do!) Only 1 side of the bed had a plug socket which was a shame. Breakfast was good with a great variety though the scrambled egg was watery. They made me veggie sausages which was brilliant. The staff were very helpful, polite and couldnt do enough for you. Great location too as its central and you can easily walk to all the attractions and the Christmas market. We didnt get a good night sleep on our second night as the room next door got in about 2am then preceeded to argue very loudly for over an hour! Not the hotels fault, at all. Its just a shame these guests were so selfish! If you are going at Christmas don't go to Bute Park Christmas Lights Walk. Absolutely rubbish and very expensive! Thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room was clean and spacious, bed was comfy. Breakfast was plentiful but could have been better quality.

Room was not cleaned after my first night stay

I'd checked in online, but seemed to take an age to find my reservation when I arrived and was in a rush to get to my room, change and go out for a meeting. The room was clean but very dated. Felt like a travelodge. Heating system ineffective. the room and the public areas felt like they were last refurbished in 1982. Staff far from falling over themselves to assist you. Bar overpriced and declined to take cash.

The receptionist was so lovely and helpful! Parking on site was really good. Bar staff hilarious!! My only moan would be that we had a room at the front which meant the noise from clubs and people walking past was incredibly loud. It went on until 5am, we purchased some ear plugs which meant the 2nd night was much better. This definitely wouldn’t stop us coming back, which we hope to do very soon.

The staff, especially Marina on reception, were very friendly and helpful. Despite it being Xmas party season the room was quiet and very comfortable. Breakfast choice and food very good for a hitel of this type. There is limited parking which is the only slight negative. Overall very good and value for money, we would definitely stah there again.

Great hotel, great location and very comfortable and quiet.

The accommodations were fine although for the amount we paid I would have expected a bit more refinement. There was a Christmas party being held on the floor beneath us. The drunken karaoke kept us up to the wee hours of the morning, despite the fact that I had to go down to the front desk to complain (because no one picked up the phone when I called down). We were supposed to be offered a welcome drink (as per our reservation) but this did not happen. Finally they told us i booked the room for only 1 person (there were 2 of us) so we were only entitled to one breakfast, not two. We will not return. Travellers from Canada 🇨🇦.
