Wonderful Experience in Morgans. Got free upgraded to a larger room. The staff are all sincere and helpful. But the location is a bit remote from the train station if you are travelling with large luggage.

Amazing breakfast

The hotel is in a good central location within easy walking distance of theatres, shops, restaurants and the marina. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and the room was very spacious and clean.

We saw the beautiful grand exterior online and believed that's where we were staying. Alas, when we arrived to check in, we were told that we were actually staying in an adjacent building. This was news to us. We were walked out a side door, bags in tow, across a street, and into another building. It all felt very strange, as the very pleasant, but somewhat manic, staff member came out from behind the desk and attempted to wheel our two (very heavy) bags herself (there was no bellman), even to the point of lifting the heavy bags down the stairs and out of the main hotel by their handles as I tried to catch up and warn her that doing that would break the handle. Despite this, we were led to a beautiful room in the other building and enjoyed our stay. The bathroom was first rate, the AC was excellent, and the bed, TV, and overall space were very good. We had breakfast the next stay (not great, to be honest) in the main building, but the staff were very friendly, even as the room itself looked a littled tired and dated.

I wouldn’t say the room was the cleanest, I dropped something from my case which went under the bed and oooh that hadn’t been done for a while ! I was given an access room at street level, but it was noisy, both from above and outside. My 2nd night required earplugs to be worn to get to sleep.

Excellent Hotel with all mod cons and fast Wi-Fi. Staff were brilliant, efficient and very friendly with nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was served upstairs in the Hotel with a large selection for continental items and an extensive cooked breakfast menu available to order fresh to the table. Parking outside the door was easy and very secure. £5 for 24 hours was very reasonable. Will certainly visit again.

Nice hotel close to centre of the city. Staff friendly & helpful. We stayed in a room in the annexe which was spacious, however the floor particularly in the bathroom was springy & made a loud squeaking noise. The bed was also very hard & had difficulty sleeping on it. Breakfast was excellent.

My only possible criticism would be that in John Bright’s room, the glazing is double not triple and so it is very noisy overnight. A great hotel, really great, but I would not choose that room again, lovely though it was.

Room was right next to the roadway. Very noisy in the morning from traffic, workers, etc. Overall the stay was ok. Not sure I'd stay again unless I had a better room.

Annex room window did not close. Lift was very rickety. Single beds were not comfortable. Shower leaked onto floor.

The toom is very spacious, clean and so near with everything, staff are friendly. The breakfast was excellent cant faulty at all. I will go back again.

Lovely rooms but soundproofing is an issue in the block to the side of the main hotel.
