Very friendly staff who helped us in many ways

A Very nice hotel, interior charm is traditional, good staff and cleanliness, the exterior is a little less, Madrid streets are with litter. The absolute hidden charm is the rooftop pool and terrace…book this place just for that for when you want to chill from walking around central Madrid.

Bathroom in need of repairs. shower head handle broken, shower doors leaked to the floor after showering. sink faucet handle leaked also. Walls very thin you can hear the guest in the next room just having a normal conversation.

It always helps when your room is upgraded when you arrive! Lovely room, very clean and comfortable. The rooftop pool and bar is a fantastic addition and well run, we enjoyed an afternoon up there when it was too hot to be walking around sight-seeing. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Location is perfect - central to just about everything and with great restaurants within easy walking distance. Would stay again if in Madrid again.

Excellent location with lots of restaurants within walking distance. The only down aide is the hotel is old and not enough outlet for computer and charges. No USB charge pods.

Another great stay this time with friends

Fabulous hotel, perfect location, great staff, outstanding rooftop ammenities, huge room, comfy beds and pillows. Cannot say enough about how much we LOVE this hotel! Will stay again and again.

Good property in center of all. Good breakfast as well. Not happy that o was not able to get rook upgrade per my level.

Great location and steps from the metro, but you pay for it. Immaculately clean but nothing else about the stay jumped out imo. Pool area was nice but was too cold when I stayed. Can’t fault the hotel for that. Staff at the pool bar/restaurant were rude/dismissive (to me at least)

A great hotel, centrally located with all amenities, shopping and transport close by. Well kept rooms, bars and great staff.

Looked old and tired

Elevator very slow. Other than that the hotel was perfect for location, access to metro and walkability to all sites in Old Town and Mercado de San Miguel.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and was disappointed with the experience. When I first checked in, I found hair and even a contact lens left in the shower, which showed the bathroom wasn’t properly cleaned. On top of that, the walls are very thin — around 4am I could clearly hear the guest in the next room showering and singing. It was so loud that I couldn’t sleep well. Overall, the cleanliness and soundproofing were far below expectations, and I would not choose to stay here again.

Customer service was excellent very helpful, room was a bit small but pretty clean, i think a microwave would be a plus for all the rooms, highly recommend El emperador hotel.
