nice place to go!

The room was very clean and we had everything we needed. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The little cafe inside was a bonus for a nice breakfast in the morning! The only thing was our room was right across from the elevators so it was quite loud everytime someone exited the elevators. Luckily, it wasn't too loud at night. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean, friendly and efficient service and close to downtown.

We had booked a business room (queen bed), that cost extra, expecting it to be larger in size and/or have extra amenities. Much to our surprise, the room was exactly the same as other rooms. We were told the ‘business room’ meant we had access to the business lounge - which is a joke! There is nothing in the business lounge, other than a toaster and microwave! - most definitely not worth paying extra for. Still the hotel was decent. Definitely dated and needs a refresher/renovation. The staff are super friendly, and the location is great. Be advised parking is a pain, as you have to use a public lot almost a block away and it costs about $26/day.

Better direction to your room. The non smoking rule should extend off property. People were smoked under window till after 2 am

Great location for exploring Halifax downtown. Easy walking to restaurants, stores, entertainment. Lots of hot water. Staff amazing.

The hotel room itself was dirty, the bathroom was not cleaned to our expectations - I will leave out details... Additionally, the room was ridiculously warm when we came in, and despite turning off the temperature altogether, it never really cooled down. Other than that, the staff were excellent.

Enjoyed my stay

The room was clean and staff were very obliging. Wifi worked great. There is a pool and gym but no hot tub. I do hope they do some renovations in the near future to bring this hotel back to a more modern feel.

There was no hot tub !! The sauna was broken, the air conditioner wasn't working,

Always pleased to stay in the Barrington Hotel with access to the downtown Link. The lobby restaurant was used appreciated this visit.

Charging a damage deposit when the client is using a credit card is ridiculous on top of no parking available for guests. I will never be back

Booked this hotel room over March break to spend with my nephews who were really looking forward to swimming, unfortunately, the Barrington hotel doesn’t heat their pool and the water was absolutely frigid. We had two boys who were very disappointed.

Little dated but clean and comfortable and conveinent location.
