The room was very clean and we had everything we needed. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The little cafe inside was a bonus for a nice breakfast in the morning! The only thing was our room was right across from the elevators so it was quite loud everytime someone exited the elevators. Luckily, it wasn't too loud at night. We would definitely stay here again.

Terrific check in. Clean room, comfortable bed. It's in need of a cosmetic update but that's reflected in the price. The tap water is undrinkable. but no other deal breaker issues.

The room is aged and the entire hotel needs a complete update and refurbishment. But it is clean and good for a weekend stay. Just note that somethings appear to be disintegrating from age. Toilet handles, holes and scratches, peeling wallpaper, etc. Certainly not the worst hotel you could stay in but it's far from its glory days. Great location. Slow elevators.

The hotel is very dated, the furniture is looks worn down, the carpet is old and looks dirty. The rooms have a musty smell and the temp control was broken in our room so became so hot we had to move rooms late at night. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pool was fun for the kids.

Hotel needs complete renovations. Absolutely NOT worth money. Ridiculous to be honest dor downtown halifax as the hotel was filthy, beyond dated, rooms were hotboxes with no hvac and just a nice lobby for photos.... huge waste of money.

Parking is not ideal.....long treck with baggage from lot. $30.00 for parking seemed expensive. Room was very dated and sad. Dresser was falling apart. The heating unit in room was not cooling and the room was 80 degrees all night. Overall a cheap hotel, but still not worth it. Will not return.

The room was good, bed was comfortable. We did not have an enjoyable stay though. For 2 nights in a row other guests close to our room were being loud, roudy, running up and down the hall, banging on the walls. Hotel staff seemed to not do anything to deal with the problem. There are very few stores available for shopping in the mall.

The stay was just okay. Infrastructure is really ancient. Even has an old ancient smell. Staff was excellent though. I would definitely pay a bit extra next time to stay at a more modern hotel .

Would never stay here again! Rooms are very dated with stains everywhere. Temperature does not go under 25 in the room. Mice were running in the hallways. Would not recommend at all!

The room was good, bed was comfortable. We did not have an enjoyable stay though.
