nice place to go!

Great location and polite and efficient staff. Older building, smaller rooms. Gym adequate with some broken things, very hot in there from sauna/pool. Bedding very mediocre - polyester and no real duvet, just a dirty looking one covered by a sheet. No cleaning services for rooms unless staying 4 and 5 nights. Quiet and peaceful.

Great stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was good.

Pros Excellent water pressure in the shower. Staff were efficient and professional. They handled everything promptly. The location is a major plus, with easy access to the waterfront and downtown Toronto. Cons The room itself needs improvement. The mattress was uneven, with a noticeable “sinkhole” in the middle that made for an uncomfortable sleep. Temperature control was inconsistent. We were either too cold with the system on or uncomfortably hot with it off, with no middle ground. Soundproofing was extremely poor. We could clearly hear full conversations from the next room, including a detailed discussion about a cheating spouse and demands for them to move out. This wasn’t just muffled noise, it was clear enough to follow word-for-word, along with hallway conversations, which made it difficult to relax or sleep. Furniture felt outdated, and some pieces didn’t function properly (e.g., drawers that wouldn’t close). Parking is paid and accessed through Scotia Square, which was difficult to find and unnecessarily complicated on arrival. Overall Fine for a quick overnight or business trip, but not ideal for a longer stay due to noise, comfort, and room condition issues.

The staff were very helpful, but there were mice running across the floor of the restaurant, the adjoining room doors had a big gap so it was very noisy, and there was black mold in the bathtub. It is an older building and I understand the difficulty in controlling these situations, but I probably wouldn’t stay again.

The rooms are dated but clean. No microwaves in the rooms and smaller than standard mini fridges make this place very inconvenient for a 4 night stay. My biggest annoyance was that the very limited gym was unbearably hot (well over 30 degrees celcius) and while maintenance did come to try to adress the heat it could not be fixed, and they were unable to open the windows or unlock the door to the terrace to let some cool April air in... Also having no coffee in the lobby in the mornings is hugely inconvenient! The restaurant attached keeps inconvenient morning hours. Being unable to get coffee before 8am on site is frustrating and atypical in 2026.

Felt like dirt around my ankles and feet in the bed … other than that everything else was clean and staff was pleasant

Good location. Very comfy beds. Ice maker on the third floor wasn't working and one of the staff seemed unconcerned, telling me to go to another floor. Overall a nice place to sleep.

Parking was difficult. A distance from hotel. Hotel room was a little noisy with the air conditioner. Had noisy neighbors from 0300 am till 0600. So got little sleep. Room was clean. Walking distance to restaurants and most tourist things to do.

The AC wasn’t the best. Not as clean as my preferred hotel….Hampton Inn. Location was great

Great location & the staff are fantastic. My room was sufficient but very dated and worn. The chair had spots so worn that the pattern/colour was non-existent. The floor lamp was broken (tbf I never informed them as there were other lights). This is an old hotel but it doesn't have to look like it. A refresh of the rooms would do wonders!

Third time staying here. Its perfectly situated for restaurants, activities and the waterfront. Especially like the indoor walkway system that connects the hotel to Scotia Square (small mall with tims, mc ds etc) parking and waterfront. Clean rooms, well maintained pool and gym, friendly, helpful staff. Thanks!
