Good

The location is great and the bed is very comfortable. I love this hotel but the housekeeper didn't clean the room throughly. I found out 1 opened water can left on the floor when I entered the room. The housekeeping manager emailed me to apologize. Hope they will clean the rooms throughly

In general, a good stay. The room — a bit small for the price paid — was clean and spacious. We loved the classy decor. But all in all, service is great as expected as a Fairmount accommodation.

The hotel is very good, but the room space is very small.

Great place to stay in Victoria

Spa was incredible. Staff were great and professional. Hot tub was really hot one night and rather cool the next.

Was great, staff were excellent and the room was wonderful. Only comment would be, not quite enough vegan options for food, but with a few small tweaks it would have been greatly expanded.

Absolutely beautiful! The hotel was amazing and the room was beautiful and modern.

Fantastic location

Whining fridge in room very loud. Maintainance had a look and stopped it but then it started again. So we had to unplug. No creamer for coffee. Room a little shabby. Charged for valet parking but had to go get car as there was a parade.

Clean room

This was a very special stay for us. My wife and I were traveling with my Brother and his wife for a vacation. We only spent (1) night there due to budget constrains, but it was well worth it. My wife and sister-in-law really enjoyed “High Tea” the next day and my brother and I explored the area and had a great luck at an Irish Pub nearby. The location is great. Walking to restaurants, shops, Parliament Building (take a tour) and Whale Watching tours docks. We had a great time and I would highly recommended staying here, even for (1) overnight.

Great spot, but staying at a hotel that is a tourist attraction itself means you’re sometimes competing with non-guests for service or seating in the restaurant.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of downtown

The property was nice, safe, and beautiful but our room’s heating/cooling system made a loud noise each time it turned off. It was loud enough to wake me up throughout the night. There was also paint bubbles around the system’s wood case which might be either a bad paint job or possibly the beginnings of mold??

Fantastic location, and excellent service. Like all Fairmont's, the Empress has the same service we’ve come to expect, but the added location makes it even better. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Victoria to stay here. I think it’s one of the most famous hotels in Victoria.
