Excellent hotel, right in the centre of Chester. Lovely spacious room. Would stay here again.

Localização maravilhosa, prédio histórico lindo, tudo limpo e organizado, tivemos uma ótima estadia. Embora o café da manhã estivesse incluído, a maior parte dos itens é cobrada a parte. Estacionamento bom em anexo e acesso direto ao hotel.

Lovely staff & good spacious room , breakfast was really tasty but could’ve been warmer , are checking time was 3pm but the room wasn’t ready till 3.45 which was unfortunate

Great location being central, not the cheapest but I was on business. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Room was very nice. Believe the hotel is up for a refurb and construction work in September 2026, so be mindful of that if booking near then. Was only there one night but would definitely recommend based on the experience.

A pleasant enough stay. The staff are helpful, but the hotel is surprisingly impersonal. Didn’t feel particularly welcome. Minor problems with the room - toilet difficult to flush and no socket near the kettle. Major problems with was access. The front of the hotel is inaccessible by car. The way in is via a public car park, but this is not obvious from the address. There were no directions offered when booking, and no indication at the car park entrance. A frustrating half hour trying to find the place.

A shame that the hotel is closing. It’s perfectly located in the centre of Chester. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive and helpful. My treatment in the spa was excellent.

Excellent stay, beautiful hotel, helpful, friendly staff. However, very disappointing continental breakfast, which had to be ordered rather than a buffet, help yourself option. Just cereal, over ‘cooked’ toast and croissants don’t constitute a continental breakfast in a 5* hotel in my view. It didn’t detract from a lovely stay in Chester though!

Charming hotel at the centre of beautiful Chester

Beautiful hotel in the city centre. We had the best room with an amazing and unusual view of the Eastgate clock. Very warm welcome on arrival. Room spacious. Excellent breakfast, cooked to order. Staff at breakfast friendly and very attentive. Couldn’t fault the hotel or the staff.

Just returned from a girls weekend. Great central location. Rooms spacious, very comfy beds and Elemis products in the bathroom.

Wonderful place to stay. Beautiful hotel in a fantastic location. Staff were exceptional and I wish I had longer than one night in my luxurious room! I hope to be back one day.

Lovely welcome, staff very attentive. Brasserie food was delicious, breakfast and lunch. Very sad to learn that the hotel is closing in September. TV sound is set too low and a coffee machine in the room would have been appreciated. Feel that entry to Spa should be included for guests. Very glad we stayed. Lovely note wishing us happy anniversary from Reception.

This was our second stay at the hotel and once again it was fabulous. A great place to stay in Chester. Everything is walkable.

Fabulous

The Grosvenor is well located, near the Eastgate clock. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel was very comfortable, continental breakfast was more than enough.
