Well positioned hotel for a weekend in Harrogate. Short walk into town, plenty of parking and friendly staff. An older property but nicely modernised and maintained rooms

Room lovely staff ok only one thing housekeeping came in early in morning 8/30 we didn't have to check out 11 lady on reception said we should have been given a letter saying housekeeping can come in early did get one 😞

For the price reasonable hotel , beautiful old building that needs serious attention. The big disappointment was the £12 breakfast which was served by staff who were obviously told to give hungry guests the bare minimum . If you asked for what would normally be deemed as a full English breakfast they replied , sorry sir we’ve run out so you’ll have to make do with the crisp bacon unnrunny fried egg and cold beans accompanied by the barely toasted cold toast and weak tea . You could if you cared about your guests advise them to go to Wetherspoons locally for a much heartier breakfast with refillable hot drinks and a smile from there grateful staff . Maybe you could do with guidance from someone who knows how to attract repeat customers !

Breakfast was decent but not much options. Strong meat smell in dining area which is quite disappointing.

All staff were helpful and polite. Hotel is a little dated but a very pleasant environment. Free car parking and a 10 minute walk into town.

Period hotel, with lovely period features, staff very friendly & helpful, however rooms were clean but in need of updating, which is reflected in the price, easy walking distance into town.

A lovely stay. Brilliant location just an 8 min walk into town. A grand building but it looks a bit tired and in need of some TLC but it was clean, comfortable and with good staff. Breakfast was lovely with a very wide choice. Would stay again.

Clean room. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Bed very comfortable and roomy. Tea and coffee facilities provided with biscuits. Radiator on for the bathroom which made it very nice after showering.

Very kind staff, the breakfast buffet is lovely and the hotel building is beautiful.

First off, the address took me to a building two doors down the street and it's on a very busy road so that was annoying. The whole place seems a little rundown and in need of some deep cleaning and remodeling. However, the room was comfortable and spacious, but the hallways were very narrow and a bit of a maze. I would look for another option in the future.

The hotel is ideally placed for getting out into the dales and surrounding area. Walk into town is less than 10 minutes. Parking is free so a bonus. On the downside, my room was very dated and there was a smokey smell in the room, despite leaving the window open, (I bought a plug in air freshener in the end to mask the smell - not ideal). Room decor needs to be refreshed, chips in gloss work, carpet worn in places. Bathroom was beautifully clean can't fault that, however mould on the tiles around the bath/shower. Again a refresh of the grouting would make a huge difference. Just generally a little run down which is a shame. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and piping hot.
