it was a lovely hotel... everything was perfect till the AC was broken on the hottest day of the year. I know the owner try their best to fix it but still....I couldn't sleep in those days... and I was really disappoint that there was no any compensation on this accident....

The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The room is cozy and nice, and television is small. There is no body lotion or hair conditioner in room. One important thing to recognize is that their lobby hour is 8am to 10pm, and this is strictly kept. If you arrive by an early morning flight or somehow ended up arriving late at night, you will be in deep trouble. Perhaps this can cause some difficulty for time-sensitive business travels.

it is a nice property but not a great area of downtown but we knew what to expect and weren't surprised and it didn't bother us.

Hotel limpo e cheiroso, cama confortável e ótima localização. Área silenciosa, mas como está no centro tem moradores de rua ao redor, muito triste, mas é a situação atual. A dona do hotel sempre solicita e simpática. Tem um cafezinho de máquina bem gostoso pela manhã de cortesia. Não tem elevador mas foi tranquilo. Voltaria com certeza.

Travelled for Business, Super comfy beds, clean rooms, my room was spacious with lots of windows and light. I had a good chat with the owner who is a lovely lady. Knows the area very well, the history etc and has seen a lot change in the neighbourhood over the years. If you have time chat her up.

I really like this place! It reminded me of my own home, quiet, cozy and clean! And the owner of the property is so nice and warm! I saw some other comments mentioned about homeless people around, tbh it's not that bad, it’s common everywhere in this city, not hotel’s fault lolll

Sabina was great and the location is great. It was surprisingly quiet! The room was quite small; If you are a big person, you might not like it this cozy!

Conveniently located. This hotel had the BEST towels. It was clean and staff were friendly and helpful.

This is a lovely quaint property. There is however no food on site and the rooms are very small (as are the bathrooms). Although small they are fully stocked with robes, hair dryers, hair straighteners, coffee and tea etc.

The Swiss Hotel is a very nice and cool spot within walking distance to Byward Market and Parliament Hill. The staff is very friendly and the feel of the olace is very European. It is super clean and in a very quiet neighbourhood. It is close to the Ottawa Mission (so is the massively more expensive Germain Hotel) and other ressources for homeless people so they are around but are not aggressive or bothersome. Just less privileged and/or ill humans trying to get by. We had no problems co-habiting with them and the hotel feels cery safe and I cannot stress the cleanliness enough. It was immaculate!

The owner and staff are top notch. A small local/private owed hotel with all the charm and service expected.

This is the great gem of Ottawa that few would know. It has charm and elegance, clean, modern and yet has the basic framework of the old building it is with water radiation heating, large board trim etc.. It is now my new favourite place to stay in Ottawa!
