overall good. spacious and clean but somehow there is sewage smell nor sure where it comes from as the bathroom is very clean. otherwise it is good overall

the room is very small and also the toilet are tiny. No space to hook or hang up the clothes. The hot towel rail is behind the toilet which is very small and inconvenience. Luckily we only spent one night.

酒店位于Kendal小镇，靠近Kendal火车站。去Windermere可乘小火车。Kendal镇商业中心颇具规模，也有中餐馆。如同其他有的酒店一样，这家酒店客房有取暖设施但没有空调，夏天可能感觉闷热。

Very pleasant weekend break, hotel and staff were spot on

We had a wonderful stay at the Riverside Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. A special thank you to Sandor at the front desk, who was incredibly welcoming, kind, and polite. He made check-in smooth and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. A huge shout-out as well to Hayleigh, Brandon, and Becky at the bar. They were so warm, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. The cocktails were absolutely amazing—especially the Passionfruit Daiquiri and the Strawberry Daiquiri, which were some of the best we've had! The excellent customer service from everyone really made our stay memorable. We'd happily recommend the Riverside Hotel and can't wait to return.

The parking is a bit tight but very useful. The car park is just past the main hotel restaurant. Good check in process. Nice room. We had lots of luggage so room felt a bit small but was lovely with the view across the river. Food in the Tannerery was wonderful. I highly recommend the Salmon tagliatelle in cream sauce....absolutely delicious. We would stay here again.

Nice hotel in a good location

We had a lovely spacious room and bathroom that were comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was powerful, however, there was a gap between the screen and the bath so the bathroom got soaked every time we used it. The room doors need a soft close mechanism fitted to stop people from constantly slamming doors. The breakfast was not too bad but could do with some more cold options. The breakfast tables are very sticky! Overall we had a lovely stay.

Great location. Drink prices were a joke. Rooms are awful for noise. Can literally hear everything going on around you.

I'd particularly like to thank Sharon at the reception desk > she was so helpful on arrival and very pleasant. The parking was easy and the room was spotless, even the breakfast was very nice. We actually stayed about 8 years ago as well. A place I will come back to if we were staying in the Lake District again.

Easy check in and staff helpful. Room clean and comfy bed, bit of mould around bath sealant but that was all. Tea and coffee and fan provided. Bonus pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. Had evening meal in restaurant, friendly staff and great food. Plenty breakfast options. Parking available and no issues getting parked. For price and amenities - great value

The front of house staff were nice and helpful but obviously it was under staffed. We waited over an hour to have our plates removed at dinner and we're then told the kitchen was shut so desert wasn't available, we booked for 7.30pm. This is my 3rd stay at the hotel and it was very disappointing.

Very happy with the room and view over the river. The bar area was very nice to having the decking area where you could sit outside again by the river. Didn't have time for breakfast as we had an early start so cannot comment on that. Parking facilities were excellent.

Perfect location to wonder into town, and riverside which is nice for walks. We hiked in Ambleside during daytime so needed pit stop close by, this was a perfect 20min drive away from there. Great free parking, and welcomed by the loveliest staff. Lovely entrance and bar area. Pool great, and sauna/steam room is nice touch. Just shame there is no changing room, so you have to wonder in and out with swimwear on through reception. Sadly there wasn’t a flow within rest of hotel. Carpet leading up to bedrooms looks in need of really good hoover and clean. Glass on doors needs a freshen up. We were in room 203. river view, which was lovely, room spacious with two beds (double and single), beds comfy and clean. Just looks really tired and in need of a deep clean. Carpets had toe nails on floor and noticed couple bugs walking around. Holes in corners of carpet, and small scatter cushions tired with holes in. Just removed off beds, they’re not necessary. Bathroom was dirty. Build up of dirt behind bathroom door and corners just not cleaned. And behind toilet was filthy. Tiles had layers of scum and mould. Just a shame, as it just needs good bleach, cleaners are letting this place down. Not doing great job!! Felt a bit icky. Lampshade covered in makeup. Ironing board filthy. Management - Please invest in deep clean!! Breakfast -ok. Juices are concentrated. Coffee is filter. All hot items fried. Bread for toast just out of a supermarket packet. Just very basic. :/

Free parking in an undercover car park was a bonus. The location was great- a quick walk into town. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very basic/dated hotel, no frills, clean, no aircon or fans (during the UK heatwave), breakfast was simple but tasty, bed was comfy. The gym/pool was a nice extra. The hotel was walkable to the town and castle which was very convenient, nice views. Parking was a pig on arrival, tight bays and people badly parked but it was empty when we left so much easier to get out than in. Was all we needed for our short stop in Kendal.

Fabulous hotel. Great friendly staff. Great amenities. Swimming pool etc. breakfast etc very good too.
