First time here, although we'd previously walked by on the South Bank side and admired the bar/restaurant areas which face the river. Room was spacious and spotlessly clean. Tea and coffee (Nespresso machine) and a full mini bar if that's your thing, and a carafe to fill from a dispenser on each floor (chilled still and sparkling) rather than bottled water.
We did visit the Lyaness Bar and also had breakfast in the restaurant (choice of buffet or cooked to order), but didn't have dinner or take advantage of the spa or cinema this time. There's good transport links with Blackfriars Station nearby, and lots to see and do in the surrounding area including if you venture out of the hotel by the Upper Ground entrance where taxis would drop off.
The hotel has a real premium feel throughout. We had prepaid our visit but a card deposit was left to cover any spend during the stay. Service charges may also apply.
