Not great safari, over priced

Please stay here if if you can. Best place we stayed at in Sri Lanka. Literally everything was beyond perfection.

Nice hotel, friendly staff but overpriced.

We had booked as part of our trip around Sri Lanka and honestly loved every second of being there. My only criticism is the driveway to the hotel. The sandy offroad path really isn't drivable by most normal vehicles and the hotel gave no warning that we might need a different type of car to access the property. Upon arrival, we were greeted by staff to take us to reception. Check-in was super efficient and after a quick tour of the property we were shown to our room where our bags were already waiting. Wow. The rooms are amazing - huge and everything in it feels brand new. The centre point of the room is the large bed with a variety of pillows. There is a good sized wardrobe with a safe and desk area with plenty of plug points. Behind the bed is the bathroom with closed off toilet, shower and a rolltop bathtub. The lounge area of the room has a love seat and tv/speaker system and there is also a dining table by the coffee machine and well stocked minibar (which is all included in your package). Air con works well in the room and there is a fan above the bed. Each room also includes its own decent sized plunge pool and decking and we had an amazing view to the beach and sea. The hotel has a restaurant, a stunning bar with an extensive cocktail list and a sundowners bar on the beach which is open each evening. All food and drink is included in your package and the quality of the food and service is very good... there just isn't enough time to enjoy everything!

The hotel is amazing, very high class hotel. The food is like a chef restaurant so all day you have different options to eat, really nice. Yala park is nice, didn’t saw many wild animals because of the weather (rainy). Dulaj in the restaurant were very kind and lovely, He made us home filling. Thanks Chena Huts.

The most beautiful hotel I’ve ever experienced! The staff was so welcoming and friendly, and the hotel is just amazing! There is only 14 rooms, and the rooms are basically cabins with a terracce and a plunge pool. It looks just as in the pictures! The restaurant is placed close to the beach, and the food is delightful. We went on a safari arranged by the hotel both in the evening (3.30pm) and in the morning (6am). It was a great experience, and we also spotted a leopard thanks to the great rangers from the hotel! That’s definietly not guaranteed, we got very lucky! When we got back from the evening safari, we were welcomed at the beach, where the staff served grilled shrimps and evening drinks in the sunset. it’s all inclusive, meaning all meals, mini bar, drinks and two safari game drives, so it’s definietly worth it! We only stayed one night, but should at least been there two nights, preferrably a week!

An outstanding and unforgettable experience. Amazing architecture, facilities and service. Truly world class and highly recommended. The staff were all highly professional including our safari guide who was hugely knowledgeable.
