Love staying here

We had a wonderful 2 night stay with our springer spaniel. Great location for canal walks and very quiet despite the proximity of the motorway. The staff really stood out as being friendly, attentive and welcoming. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed every aspect of our weekend there.

Lovely place for an overnight stay. Really pleased we chose it instead of the many bog standard motorway hotels, though it is just as convenient for the M6. Big comfy rooms, lots of atmosphere, great breakfast, lovely staff.

We liked everything about this hotel! On site car parking , friendly staff , excellent restaurant, comfy room - and a great canal walk nearby.

Loved our stay at the Longlands - the property is tranquil and well equipped, the staff is lovely, and the location is really idea to access the Lake District. We loved our dinner at the on-site restaurant so much that we went back the following night.

The 2 bedroom cottage was fantastic, much nicer than the photos. It was spotless, well equipped and very comfortable. We will definitely stay again.

Larger than average rooms, with a mini fridge with water and fresh milk (a really nice touch). Lovely bathroom with walk in shower. The curtains were closed to keep the room cooler on a day when the temperature was hovering around 30oC.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. There was a great walk along the canal. Everywhere was very dog friendly.

It was amazing. We had been on a long trip experiencing lots of hotels and this was the greatest. Amazing staff and te room was fabulous

We stayed at this hotel for one night with our dog and baby, and it was one of the most memorable stays we’ve ever had. Having experienced luxurious 5-star hotels in the UK and abroad, where you pay for top-tier amenities and service, I still prefer a place with genuinely friendly staff and a warm, local atmosphere. This hotel delivered on all fronts.The location was excellent, with a charming outdoor area for enjoying meals or drinks. The food was very good, though not perfect. The dog-friendly rooms were impeccably clean, well-equipped, and reasonably priced for such a quality local inn.The standout was a staff member named Marcel. He welcomed us at check-in, served us during a late dinner, and was there again for breakfast. When we found our car wouldn’t start due to a flat battery on a bank holiday Monday, with no shops open and no jump leads at the hotel, Marcel’s kindness shone through. He offered to drive to his own house to fetch jump leads. In the end, we managed to start the car another way, but his willingness to go out of his way made us feel truly valued.This was an exceptional experience, and we’d return in a heartbeat!

A lovely experience in a lovely location. We were most impressed with the efforts of the Manager and his staff to provide an excellent service and to make our stay a happy one. This hotel was a random choice and it was our first visit. It will not be our last.

Stayed in one of the cottages for three nights and the accommodation was excellent. Everything exceptionally clean and all the facilities you need. Very comfortable. Only a couple of things to mention that the duvet was extremely heavy and I did ask for a thinner one but this was unavailable. Personal choice I suppose and I presume summer quilts will replace the winter ones soon. Also just to mention the smell of the sewerage was very strong but I suppose that would be difficult to cure. Thank you for a great stay and sure we will return.

Very comfortable hotel, rooms spacious, clean and comfy bed with modern bathroom. Staff very friendly.

Ok stay, nice bedding, cold draughty window, nice bar & restaurant with really good food but stealth service charge

Had a family occasion to attend, so the Longlands was an excellent choice to stay
