开房的时候前台就一个人，效率低到令人发指！我们全家精疲力尽就想尽快到房间休息一下，但是开房居然开了整整一个小时！一直让我稍等稍等！太垃圾了！

Hotel was op zich goed. Wel ver van het centrum, maar dat wisten we vanwege de prijs. Nadeel was wel dat de tv's het niet deden. Normaal kijk ik nooit tv in hotels, maar nu tijdens het WK was het best wel noodzaak.

We lost our car in the parking lot of this hotel on June 19, 2026, around Midnight, and the hotel staff didn't take any action at all. We didn't even hear a single apology from them. There were also no CCTV cameras in some areas of the property. The room was very dirty and smelled terrible. Both the room and the hallway reeked of cigarette smoke. We politely asked if we could be moved to a different room, but the hotel staff/receptionist refused. This is probably one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed at.

We appreciate the location but we were not impressed with reception. Service at front desk was poor and not very accommodating; not even a smile or a welcome. Other saff in and around the hotel were friendly.

La chambre était proche. L'accueil était parfait avec le sourire. Et nous avons particulièrement apprécié le restaurant a même l'hôtel ou d'ailleurs tout était délicieux. Nous y retournerons c'est certain.

BEWARE - WINDOW SMASHING & STOLEN CARS DAILY FROM HOTEL NEWSTAR PARKING!!!! Someone smashed our window Saturday night and broke the glass. Front desk no help in finding videos, extremely limited cameras around the building that don’t even show the lot properly. Long term guests & STAFF said this happens often. Incident reported to police and officers said that WINDOW BREAKING IS HAPPENING DAILY AT THIS LOCATION! VEHICLES STOLEN FROM HERE OFTEN. BEWARE AND SAVE YOURSELF FROM THE ISSUE NO NOTICE OR HELP FROM STAFF ABOUT THE CHRONIC BREAK INS. BEWARE IF TRAVELLING WITH VEHICLE.

Everything was prefect. I used it fot one night only but great service.

The fridge was too noisy and at night I had to un plug it so I didn't use it as much as I would have liked to.

The staff were incredible and helpful, only to that my room was a none smoking and I don’t actually smoke however the room was smelling cigarette smoke especially the bathroom, that was the only downside overall I did enjoy my stay not my first time surely not my last.

The worst hotel & staff I've ever seen.

It was terrible hotel, I couldn’t believe the entire hotel including bedrooms and bedding smells terrible. People plz don’t go to this hotel. No cleaning no refill of toilet paper or anything else was available. Staff was very rude and not helpful. Some people bought their own brooms and mops to clean their room.I was unable to sleep in bad smell in bedding. Bugs on bedding and everywhere in room and bathroom, they didn’t do anything about bugs, unfortunately I booked and paid for whole week but stayed 2 days only. Even one star is too much.

Not secured parking lot. My car was stolen in Hotel Newstar this morning and staff did'nt say anything about what happened. Worst hotel ever!!

Perfect! Excellent stay at Hotel Newstar Montreal. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. The property was well maintained, spotless, comfortable, and exceeded expectations.

We had a wonderful stay at a hotel in Montreal that exceeded our expectations. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, making our stay very relaxing. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist with any questions we had. One of the biggest advantages was the convenient parking available near the hotel, which made traveling around the city stress-free. The location was excellent, with easy access to local attractions, restaurants, and shopping areas. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and we would gladly stay here again on our next visit to Montreal.
