I love to go sightseeing with my family members and I have stayed in countless hotels. I do not use to write negative feedback but my experience with this hotel is the worst among all, making me to feel that I have to write something. First of all, the receiptionist was impolite and even rude. I was told that there was a charge for the carpark. When I tried to ask the fee for parking, I could not understand why I gave the impression to the receptionist that I did not want to pay the fee. She mocked at me in a way that I could not pay. As a solicitor, I think I did never intend to evade my liability of whatever nature. Second, I rented a family room. It was a nice room but located at the 4th floor, Seeing that we have 7 baggage, she just directed me, cooly, that to take them upstairs. She told me the time for breakfast. Because her English has a thick foreign accent, I could not hear clearly. When I tried to clarify the time but it seemed to me that she did not even want to talk to me. Or perhaps Icould not understand her English for the first time, she felt she had no responsibility to clarify. When my daughter came to the reception and wanted to ask if there was a lift to go up to the 4th Floor, before she could finish her sentence, the receptionist bluntly stopped her and shouted no. I am aggrieved by the receptionist. Although my room is good and the breakfast is satisfactory, I am sure I would not stay at this hotel again.

The room was lovely and clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The team in the restaurant were great

The large twin room was spacious and spotless. Very comfortable beds. We had an amazing view of the river from our large bay window. Although we don’t live too far away, it was ideally located for a special occasion we were attending in Cambridge.

The room was spacious with bay window looking out over the river. All the facilities are in excellent condition. We have been travelling for over 2 months and this is the best accommodation we have had Can not fault it , highly recommend

Great location, comfy bed, good shower.

Tired, worn, dirty in spots. We called about our remote control twice, then they came and took it. They never returned with another one. Nice staff, though.

Wir hatten 2 Zimmer gebucht. Eines hatte einen großen nassen Fleck (ca 2 Quadratmeter) und in dem anderen Zimmer stand ein leerer Farbeimer der herunterlaufendes Wasser von der Wand auffangen sollte. Ein Zimmer konnten wir nach Beanstandung tauschen. Dort funktionierte die Heizung allerdings nicht, so dass wir nachts sehr gefroren haben. Am nächsten Tag erhielten wir einen Heizlüfter. Die Lage des Hotels war gut.

Good service, clean room, good breakfast, plenty of car parking. Easy location to walk into the city

Al though breakfast was chaotic the food fine. However I was very disappointed in having to pay £18 for parking because I booked through your site. I thought that expensive, and nowhere was it advertised when I booked.

High parking charges when booking through Expedia. The hotel didn't respond to my query about parking beforehand. The carpet was dirty and worn in areas. Skirting boards etc. were dusty. Quiet. Good selection for included continental breakfast.

Perfect for a weekend trip to cambridge - slightly 1980s especially at breakfast.
