Property is falling apart. Need major reno! Breakfast options were horrible. Make sure he doesn’t make you stay in the room and in the bed where his wife passed away!

very interesting property with professional staff

We were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves for 2 nights. So many cool things to look at. Owner shared many stories with my kids about the property and memories over the years. The kids had so much fun checking everything out and playing in the game room.

This was one of the BEST hotel stays of my LIFE!! I knew nothing about this mystical, magical rural palace before driving up at about suppertime a couple of nights ago. The people and the place simply TRANSPORTED me to another, more human and happier, era. I had a great sleep under a hand-made quilt.

Home away from home! I love the history and preservation of simpler times. Beautiful collection & had a blast playing pool & foosball. Thank you for a great stay!

Don the owner is a special soul! The rooms are clean and cozy. The atmosphere of the entire hotel is just...different!

Wonderful stay if you are looking for something rustic and colourful with a very personable staff.

It was a unique property, but it was old and not clean. The breakfast room had a great view of the bay, but the food itself was not very good. The coffee was not good. The innkeeper was friendly enough, but mainly wanted to tell stories about himself.

The owner is very kind snd the view is perfect. Very beautiful place to stay!

Quaint, comfortable retro-style inn with a unique ambience. Continental breakfast had plenty of choice to satisfy a variety of palates.

This is an indescribable gem. A historic structure with more personality than any other place I have stayed. It’s a trip within a trip and a world of its own. I will not forget this place.

First time staying there, Don was a great host and the Inn is filled with amazing artifacts telling of its storied history. Would gladly stay again.

Dirty, musty, in desperate need of an upgrade

This is one of the most quaint and quirky places we have stayed. We loved it! If you want the sterile, cookie cutter hotel, this place is not for you. It's way more interesting, from the antiques and history to the knowledeable, friendly owner-host, Don. At breakfast or from your room, there is a beautiful view of the north edge of Lake Superior. The building is worn, but not in any way that affects your comfort. Thr room and bath were very clean, the sheets soft, and the atmosphere blissfully calm.

The Red Rock Inn is a truly unique B&B with memorabilia from the past throughout it. The owner was welcoming and very interesting to talk to. Unfortunately we arrived somewhat late in the day and had to leave first thing in the morning which prevented us from exploring the inn more than we were able to.

Unique place, very spacious room overlooking the lake. A bit tired, but very clean. Red Rock is off the beaten path but worth going a bit off the highway. Saturday nights have a band which would have been fun.
