Das Hotel macht auf den ersten Blick einen guten Eindruck. Es ist aber definitiv kein 4-Sterne-Hotel. Das Zimmer ist recht einfach eingerichtet; kein Kühlschrank, kein Wasserkocher was ich eigentlich bei 4 Sternen erwartet habe. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr einfach mit einer geringen Auswahl am Buffet.

I booked 1 room in Hotel Sonnenhof on 16th February, via Hotels.com, for a stay commencing on 28th May.
Hotel sent me a message on 27th May that I was not in Hotel Sonnenhof in Timelkam, but at an apartment in Lenzing, 4.5km further away. No pre-warning was given, no rationale for the change in location, no option to cancel or reduction in rate was offered.
I was very upset when I received the message on 27th May (the day before I was due to stay at the hotel). It was really inconvenient to be in a different location from my friend, and required that I drive back and forth from Timelkam to Lenzing multiple times. As I was only informed the day before the stay was due to start, I had no option to cancel and rebook elsewhere as nothing else was available.
In addition, the apartment was in a poor location, not of a good quality, and the kitchen crockery was incomplete.
The hotel reception was very slow to respond to communication, and only available in the mornings.
Do not stay here - very poor service.

Es tut einem in der Seele weh eine mediokre Bewertung zu schreiben, wenn sich ein Team so viel Mühe gibt, aber leider geht es hier nicht anders, denn ich habe letzte Nacht (in diesem Hotel) kein Auge zugemacht.
Das Hotel ist wunderhübsch, sauber, ordentlich, und das Team gibt sich sehr viel Mühe. Wenn nur die Bahnlinie direkt hinter dem Hotel nicht wäre! Trotz Fenster bester Schallschutzklasse fühlt es sich so an, als wenn die Züge mitten durchs Zimmer fahren. Durch den unbeschrankten Bahnübergang keine 50 Meter entfernt müssen diese zudem auch noch Schallsignale geben, zur Sicherheit, und das wird nur zwischen 24 h und 4 h morgens abgestellt.
Trotz des wirklich schönen hotels, mit freundlichem Personal und wunderbarem Frühstücksbuffet:
An Schlaf war für mich letzte Nacht dort nicht zu denken, leider. Dennoch Kompliment an das Team, aber für mich wiegt deren Einsatz dieses eklatanten Nachteil leider nicht auf.

Die Zuglinie, die an dem Hotel vorbei geht ist extrem laut. Der Zug hupt direkt am Haus des öfteren. Umgebung ist eher von Industrie geprägt.
Ansonsten wardas Zimmer ordentlich und groß, vom Personal haben wir nicht viel mitbekommen, da bei der Ankunft keiner da war und wir erst bei der Abreise zur Bezahlung der Kurtax jemanden gesehen haben.

Das Hotel ist doch schon in die Jahre gekommen. Zimmer ok, Betten gut. Leider ist die Rezeption meistens nicht besetzt. Wir hatten 3 Tage kein Internet, konnten aber niemand dazu erreichen. Sehr schöner Garten, allerdings müsste auch die Terrasse gästefreundlicher gerichtet werden. 4* Sterne sind keinesfalls gerechtfertigt und dafür ist auch der Preis zu hoch.

Hôtel très bien tenu comme souvent an Autriche. Personnel très accueillant et dévoué. Les chambres sont petites mais confortables. Petit bémol, il manque la climatisation. Cet hôtel est un peu cher par rapport à ce qu'il se pratique dans les environs à prestations équivalentes.

自転車の旅で利用しようとして予約した。１０５Km自転車をこいで、やっとの思いでホテルに到着する。異常な程の静けさに不思議さを感じながら、玄関へ。ドアが開かない。よく見たら張り紙が2枚。ドイツ語なので内容が判明できない。駐車場には１台も車が止まっていない。人の気配もない。窓から中を見ると閑散としている。観葉植物は萎れている。どう考えても営業しているようには思えない。周囲に別の宿泊施設があるとは思えない地域。１０５Km自転車走行で疲労困憊。路頭に迷う。やむを得ず、着れるものすべてを着て、自転車カバーをテント代わりにかぶり一夜を過ごす。寒さに震え寝不足のまま次のザルツブルグに向かう。帰国後、エクスペディアに事実究明を依頼する。ホテルは７時まで待っていたという返答。７時まで待ってどうするというのだ。別の宿泊施設に私だけ案内しようというのか？納得のいく説明は全くない。謝罪の言葉もない。宿泊施設としての責任感は全くない。確実に宿泊できないという前代未聞の事態の対応としてこれでいいのか？。宿泊施設として失格だ。こんな危険なことはない。皆さんの身の上に再び起こらないように、この事実をお伝えします。

This Hotel is suffering from a lack of personnel.
I arrived at the hotel prior to the stated check-in time, however was surprised to find that there was no receptionist and the hotel was completely closed. Calling the phone number on the door didn't resolve anything as it went to a voicemail box. After waiting more than 30 minutes outside, a cleaning lady inside happened to see that I was standing there, and let me in and gave me a key to a room.
Later in the evening, when coming down for dinner I was told that the chef had recently quit, so there would be no food available. The receptionist (by which time had arrived), was kind enough to order a pizza from a local restaurant and apologize for the inconvenience.
The hotel is not very well located, and I did not have a car with me, so it made for a difficult situation.
The following night, I again came down to the reception to see if it was possible to order some food and this time no receptionist, so went the night without dinner.
