Valet service was awesome. They were very helpful being that I am disabled and had a walker very hard to get into the spa because I had a walker, but I know how to work it. At one point, our room was so cold and the maid came and brought us a heater to heat up our room. She was so phenomenal. Also helped us learn how to work the coffee maker because there was no directions in the room as to how to use it. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to upgrade to the gold to where I could have access to the amenities there but my fault because I should’ve booked it earlier.

Beautiful hotel and my husband and I really enjoyed the restaurant and lounge downstairs. However, we were unable to rent movies from our room and weren’t told that was because we decided to use our debit card at check in for damage deposit rather then a credit card. We would have GLADLY used our credit card but the front desk did not tell us there were restrictions if we used our debit. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back but will make sure to use the credit card next time lol.

We paid for Fairmount gold and we were given non-Fairmount gold without our knowledge. And this is not the first time they have done this to us at this hotel. They’ll check you in as Fairmont gold then they send you to the lower floors that are not Fairmont gold. And if you book with Expedia, they’ll always put you on the train track side. Will not stay at this property again after being cheated twice in a row.

The facility completely failed to provide air conditioning, despite charging more than $2,700. Instead, they insisted that only a fan would be available, which led to severe suffocation and made the stay intolerable. This was by far one of the worst experiences of this trip. On the final day of my stay, the suffocating conditions triggered one of the worst migraines I’ve ever had.

There are multiple train tracks directly behind the hotel. The room I was given was right above the train tracks. From the time I check in at 8 pm until 11pm at least 10 trains went passed or parked directly outside my window. I contacted the front desk and asked if I could move rooms. I was told someone will call me back soon. 25 minutes later no one called me back so I called the front desk again and was out on hold for another 10 minutes. When someone eventually picked up my call I was told they can’t move me but will offer me a breakfast credit. Over all this hotel is over priced and under valued. I will not stay here again. It’s definitely not the standard I’ve come to expect from the Fairmont brand.

Beautiful, historic building with wonderful staff. Ben, concierge, was great! Check in was poor. Waited in line over 30” and our room was 1 3/4 hours later than check in. We didn’t have a place to change clothes.

It is a beautiful place to stay, great location for down-town walking and access. There is only paid parking so if you don't want to pay, you'll have to find a location on the street somewhere. We'd definitely stay here again.
