The new management are doing a great job at improving the entire building and keeping the rental costs among the most reasonable in Victoria. Give them a try and I believe you will not be disappointed.

I paid half the amount of other hotels in the area and it was worth it so I was able to have money to take my kids whale watching! The property is old and run down, sure, but the two gentlemen running the front desk were so nice and helpful, they really took care of us. This is a bare bones kinda place but the elevator worked, as did the air conditioning so not much more I could ask for! The beds were also super comfy which was surprising, they use nice thick comforters and gave each queen bed FOUR pillows which is so refreshing. Would absolutely stay here again just to be so close to walking distance at an affordable price!

We liked the king sized beds. Parking was fine. The air conditioning worked well. Dusting on lamps was needed. Only one coffee packet was provided. the light switch to the bathroom often needed two attempts for light to come on. It also would have been helpful to have specific instructions on the how to use the two remotes for the TV.

We stayed for one night there and it was a terrible experience. The bathtub was disgusting, we didn't even shower in it, it was so gross. The whole room smelled like the worst perfume ever, we had to air it out for hours. And to top it all off, they don't tell you that you aren't allowed to have guests visit your suite. We were told when we were trying to bring a friend up to play some card games with us, that if we brought them up to our room we would be fined $250 on my credit card. I have never experienced this kind of treatment at a hotel in my life. I paid $225 for one night and I wasn't even allowed a visitor! Take my advice and stay far away from this hotel!

It was okay stay. Room has enough room even with two beds. It’s an old building so bathroom and door have stains. With the price we paid it was okay. I messaged the inn via Expedia message as well as sent an email however they never answered. I guess better call them.

The hotel was in an area with lots of homelessness and drugs. That’s what you saw when you looked out the window. They don’t clean rooms unless you ask. Our toilet was not working on the first day, we had to contact the 4 times to fix it in 5 days stay. We found bed bugs the last day prior to leaving and the employees were arguing with us about them. They would not tell us who owned the hotel or let us talk with the manager. It is disgusting that if people from other countries go to Victoria for a holiday and stay there the bad impression of Canada it will leave with them. We contacted the island health authority to look into this place.

Dirty clothes in one of our rooms, stained sheets and black mold in the other. Have not been able to speak to anyone from the hotel despite several inquiries to the front desk. Would not recommend

We stayed at this hotel on our way into Vancouver island and then again on our way back. It is very reasonable priced, has good parking on site, is well maintained and easy to find near China Town. This time we were in a different room . It can be a bit noisy since it is on Highway 1 and on a corner. The room was very comfortable and the furniture a bit strange - two overstuffed chairs with small tables and some strange lampshades. The big bath has a two person jetted sub with a handheld shower. We didn't use it but it was noteworthy. We were overall glad for both stays and would certainly stay there again.
