Really nice and cozy. I had read about heat issues but I can confirm that it was nice and warm in my room. Very impressed for the price. I mean if your respectful and are aware of others, kitchen (fully equip) & bathroom are shared not a bad thing if everyone does there share it’s an awesome place to stay. I had no issues and if you need anything you just text admin and they get back to you quickly. Lots of space in your room with a small fridge. No issues what so ever

Loved it! Couldn’t figure out the heating tho. But it was the perfect location to walking around the city and there were multiple stores around for anything and everything.

Here's the deal - this place is good and the reviews I think if the property leaned in to being a bit more "hostel" than a hotel or bed and breakfast even, their reviews would be a lot more fair.
My issues are mostly from lack of communication. Booking through Expedia made it hard to check in (since there's actually no physical person to check in with - and it's done online on their own website.. so if you book here, your email will not be the same as the check in one, so you have to call or show up and talk over their ipad), there was no information in the room about the free breakfast or wifi, but the latter was on a board in the kitchen (which didn't matter, because there wasn't even a password to protect the wifi), and the only reason I knew there was a breakfast was because my profile on their site offered me to add a breakfast for additional fee, BUT AGAIN, WE NEVER GOT BREAKFAST. Never knew timing, assumed kitchen, but nothing was left for us or asked of us.. we weren't itching to have it but we would have liked to be offered or any kind of communication..
The room was definitely not the cleanest; under the bed, the floor in general, was not well cleaned. There were leftover clothes in the dresser.
ALL that to say.. the place was good. It was a good place to just sleep in, to leave your personals, it felt safe enough and when we finally met the on duty manager, he was nice.
I think this place just needs a bit of a rebrand :)

It is shocking Expedia still lists this property. There is no front desk—check-in is online via a non-mobile-optimized process where certain steps only work in landscape mode.
Expedia omits the building number, listing only a street name (we found the number on Google). Arriving around midnight after Osheaga, we struggled with a flaky electronic keypad. A single touch is required to wake the pad before entering the code; entering it directly triggered multiple failed attempts and locked us out. We reached out via help chat at 12:21 AM on August 3rd, only to be told: “Your stay ended today (2026-08-03), so the door code is no longer active.”. Checkout was supposed to be 11am August 3rd. Luckily, a final attempt got us inside.
Getting into the bedroom was fine, but we realized after digging into the details that it was a shared bathroom—something other Montreal properties state clearly in the room title. I admit it was our mistake. With no laundry basket provided, dirty towels from previous guests were left scattered on the floor.
The breaking point was the bed: despite being made, there were stray hairs on the sheets and mud stains on the comforter. It was unclear if the linens were even washed between stays.
We ultimately decided it was more comfortable and hygienic to sleep in our car than to chance it in this dump.

I stayed at this property for a weekend during Osheaga. Had this been a standard vacation rather than a festival stay, I would have been quite disappointed.
Breakfast was not provided, and I was only informed of this upon check-in. The refrigerator in my room had a strong moldy odor. The electronic door lock system malfunctioned before I could even access the room. There was visible mold in the bathroom, along with a rusty drain stopper that was both unappealing and unsanitary. Most concerning of all, on the second night someone attempted to enter (or did enter) my room while I was half-asleep — I clearly heard the door open and close quickly. This was by far the most unsettling part of the stay.
Overall, the property is marginally acceptable given the price point. However, I would not recommend it to anyone seeking a clean, comfortable, or secure stay.

This hotel was not as advertised. We paid for a queen bed and got a double. Breakfast was supposed to be included but was not (apparently the app to order breakfast was not working). The computer program for registration was also not working properly. We tried several times in advance to complete the booking online as requested but even after spending half an hour with someone on the phone we couldn’t do it. We then spent two hours checking in with the help of the on-site manager. Both the on-site manager and person on the phone were courteous and aware that the company has a flaw in its reservation system but they were not supported by the administration staff to deal with the problem. The building very rundown and someone had dumped a very full ashtray into the bathroom garbage basket where it sat with the odour permeating the building for the two nights we were there.

The staff were kind and friendly, and we had no issues with the service. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of the hotel was extremely disappointing.
The shared bathroom sink had beard shavings on it when we arrived, and they remained there for our entire stay. The light switches were so dirty that I ended up cleaning them myself with Lysol wipes. Every time we entered our room, there was a strong unpleasant odor, even after I sprayed perfume. The mini fridge was filthy—it smelled bad and had visible mold inside.
The air conditioning unit in our room didn't work, and the bedside lamp was unusable because it was plugged into a faulty extension cord. The overall condition of the room also left us questioning whether the bedding had been properly cleaned before our arrival.
While the staff were pleasant, the lack of cleanliness and maintenance made for an uncomfortable stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values a clean and well-maintained environment.
In addition there is a $100 deposit you are forced to pay to check in in case anything is broken or stolen in your room. They specifically state you will not be charged however my credit card was charged this fee. Currently waiting on my refund.

Was a reliable cozy place to sleep. Our bed and floor was covered in pet hair and dirt and was just not very clean overall so we had to use our own personal sheets and pillows. The shared bathroom was clean enough but was not restocked once during our stay. It was hard to get in contact with staff if you needed something urgently. It was overall worth it for the price but I recommend you bring your own blankets, pillows and bathroom supplies like toilet paper and hand soap.

The location is really nice and it's above a wonderful cafe with live music. The rooms are nice with shared bathrooms. Breakfast is make your own with basic ingredients. (1 or 2 eggs, white bread, fruit, peanut butter, and a nice kitchen. Sorry to say it feels a bit neglected. Things such as shower heads not working properly and door knobs held on with tape, teflon pans for making breakfast - way past their lifespans, bathrooms not cleaned regularly, etc,.. makes it feel like a bit run down The owner that we met was very nice and accommodating and I think they would have a great place otherwise.

We stayed on the bottom floor but got access to two bathrooms and a full kitchen. Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. It’s an old building so keep that in mind. I enjoyed the charm and reminded me of staying in my first apartment. I would stay there again!

Se comparte baño, no hay cuartos con baño propio y el baño estaba PESIMO, tenia mugre pegada en la tina, no especifica que el desayuno es te entregan los ingredientes y tu preparas, la habitacion no tiene ni una silla donde sentarse y no se veia muy limpio que digamos. Horrible

The location was great, and the building itself was nice enough, but overall, the place was not clean. The sheets on our bed were not fresh when we checked in, and we discovered hair and crumbs on them the first night we slept. We decided to wash them ourselves on the second day to ensure their cleanliness. The bathrooms seemed to have never been cleaned, as there was hair and dirt around the floor and dust build-up on all surfaces. If the stay had been cheaper, it wouldn't have been so bad, but for over $600, it's astounding to find the property in this state.

La habitación está muy limpia considerando lo descuidado del edificio. La publicidad parece dar a entender que el baño es privado pero es compartido con otros huéspedes. Creo que el anfitrión se está esforzando por que las habitaciones estén en buen estado pero un servicio básico como un baño limpio y en buen estado es definitivamente imprescindible.
