I was so well looked after during my stay. I couldn’t have wished for a better experience for my first holiday on my own.

Burnside is a 15 minute walk into Keswick, mostly on a traffic free route along a paved old railway line. Easy drive to the significant mountains in the locality.
My room (3) was a little on the small side but very comfortable on the second floor. All amenities were provided in the room as one would expect to find in a private B&B.
Breakfast was good with a good few options provided they were ordered the night before and the time of required breakfast.
Hotels.com state that there's "limited on site parking". There isn't any. Parking spaces may be found across the road in a side-road.

When we arrived at Burnside we thought it looked quite small having stayed at lots of the larger hotels in Keswick and the Lake District. We were so wrong! The room we stayed in was larger than most with a large bay window and another at the side. The room was so tastefully decorated, "William Morris" feature wall and pastel shades complemented by the classic Edwardian furniture. There was everything anyone could ask for :- TV, refreshment tray, even a large sofa! The room was so clean and spotless.
Sharon is lovely and a great cook. The breakfast was the best I've had in The Lake District and probably the largest ! It was so easy to get to the town centre, buses every 20 or so mins if you didn't want the short walk. We love Keswick and we will most certainly come back to Burnside

Burnside B and B is a lovely place to stay in Keswick. It is conveniently located to walk. We were warmly greeted upon arriving and our spacious room was exceptionally clean. Sharon provided us with excellent information about restaurants and places to go. The breakfast each morning was delicious and can be made vegan, vegetarian, or GF as needed. We highly recommended Burnside.

Our stay was fabulous! You chose your main options for breakfast the day before to limit waste, which I loved! I had the full english breakfast which was amazing! Great quality food. My son in law had the vegan breakfast with home made vegan sausages which he said was first class. And my daughter porridge made with almond milk to make it creamy! We even had a choice of home made jams and marmalade with our toast! We were very well looked after.
No parking at the property, but on road parking a very short walk away.
Highly recommended! Stay here and you will be very well looked after 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Excellent good value B&B. situated a 10-15min within an easy walk into Keswick. Tastefully decorated big bedroom in the traditional victorian style with orginal features.

very pleasant with good variety choice of food well cooked and presented. Sharon the owner is a lovely lovely lady very helpful with local advise and places to go. Would definitely recommend to stay.

We had a relaxing stay at Burnside and would recommend here for a place to stay in Keswick. Great access to the lakes, and Sharon is a fantastic person, and had plenty of local information to share - we could have spoken to her all day. Hopefully we will stay here again in the future!

Highly recommended! Sharon is a lovely lady with a warm and friendly personality. The B&B is decorated to a high standard with lots of William Morris touches in keeping with the style and age of the property. Sharon clearly has very high standards of cleanliness as there wasn't a speck of dust or dirt anywhere, and bedding and towels smelled and felt clean. Breakfast was gorgeous with homemade jams and a wide selection including pancakes and waffles if you're not a full English person. Sharon has obviously thought about every aspect of the customer experience from the moment they come in the door. Could not recommend this place enough; it is a hidden gem!

We were met on arrival and every morning with morning with a cheerful welcome.
The high quality breakfast was cooked to order with a good selection being offered. The room was spotlessly clean and comfortable which laid the base for a wonderful stay in Keswick.

Where to start? This is an absolute gem of a find! The room we stayed in was cozy, clean and very comfortable with amazing views. Sharon was simply fabulous,welcoming, helpful, informative and very knowledgeable of the area.
The breakfasts were excellent and one of the best B&B breakfasts I’ve had! Sharon really can’t do enough for you.

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was very nice, clean and well decorated. A bit of traffic noise as we faced the road but I had ear buds which solved this issue. The breakfast was substantial and very, very good. The hostess was friendly and helpful and made us very welcome. We will return.
