Hilton Garden Inn Doncaster Racecourse

We have stayed here a few times Lovely place very helpful staff will definitely be going back

Room was excellent with view of the racecourse - parking was adequate costing £5 per night but if your Hilton members then it’s free - I didn’t pay. Breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice both hot n cold. Only disappointing thing was the public toilets at reception - they were disgusting - obviously some people have no respect at all.

Pros - friendly and quick (and early) check in, lots of parking, short walk to exhibition hall, comfy bed Cons - room service finishes at 9pm which seems a little early

Everything is top notch. Staff was great too. Pizza s are surprisingly good.

Great hotel, superb view of the racecourse. Decent bar area and very good breakfast. Decent gym also.

I’d like to say thank you to the very friendly and helpful staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Our room was upgraded with a view of the racecourse and the room was superb. The highlight was a delicious breakfast for £10 when paying in advance. I’ll certainly stay here again when there isn’t racing!

Lovely hotel. Had a king room with a view of the racecourse, which was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was really nice with a good selection to choose from, high quality. Will definitely be returning. The hotel could be even better if it had a spa and pool area.

Easy for the racecourse

The hotel staff were very helpful, especially the Romanian lady who was very helpful to us in the service and in the kitchen. There was an elderly lady wearing glasses. She was very helpful too. Thank you.

The staff were brilliant. The wife was not well and we had to cut our break short. They have done everything they could to help and without asking. Genuine warmth

Terrible check in experience. The hotel said they didn’t have my hotel.com booking (I had booked around 4 hours earlier). Receptionist was very unfriendly and extremely unhelpful. The lady at reception didn’t offer any advice other than to buy a new room and left me sat in reception for an hour whilst I tried to contact hotels.com on the phone, she didn’t offer me even the glint of a smile, a glass of water, an apology, nothing, instead she treated me like I was trying to steal a free nights stay even though I had a confirmation email with all details on. Terrible customer service experience. I booked this hotel specifically because it had a gym which I didn’t get to use as it had closed by the time I got to my room. A smile and a “don’t worry we’ll help sort it” would have gone a very long way. Lacking some very basic customer service skills.

Everything about the hotel from the reception area to the bedroom was lovely, the bedroom had the view of the race course it was amazing, the bathroom lovely and clean, not short of anything. The staff lovely and welcoming, the breakfast was really nice, the chef did fresh omletettes for you there and then. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay there again.
