Easy for the racecourse

The hotel staff were very helpful, especially the Romanian lady who was very helpful to us in the service and in the kitchen. There was an elderly lady wearing glasses. She was very helpful too. Thank you.

The staff were brilliant. The wife was not well and we had to cut our break short. They have done everything they could to help and without asking. Genuine warmth

Terrible check in experience. The hotel said they didn’t have my hotel.com booking (I had booked around 4 hours earlier). Receptionist was very unfriendly and extremely unhelpful. The lady at reception didn’t offer any advice other than to buy a new room and left me sat in reception for an hour whilst I tried to contact hotels.com on the phone, she didn’t offer me even the glint of a smile, a glass of water, an apology, nothing, instead she treated me like I was trying to steal a free nights stay even though I had a confirmation email with all details on. Terrible customer service experience. I booked this hotel specifically because it had a gym which I didn’t get to use as it had closed by the time I got to my room. A smile and a “don’t worry we’ll help sort it” would have gone a very long way. Lacking some very basic customer service skills.

Everything about the hotel from the reception area to the bedroom was lovely, the bedroom had the view of the race course it was amazing, the bathroom lovely and clean, not short of anything. The staff lovely and welcoming, the breakfast was really nice, the chef did fresh omletettes for you there and then. I would definitely recommend the hotel and would stay there again.

Overall was good. But confusing with breakfast cost as I hadn’t prepaid. Was told at check in cost was £15 for breakfast or £10 if paid in advance. Paid £10 for the first morning with no problem. Next night went to reception to pay for next morning and was told there was no discount and cost was £15 which I declined. No big deal but an inconsistent experience. Nice hotel overall.

Staff are friendly, clean room

Room was average for a Hilton. Pillowbwere excellent but the bed was hard. TV was only slightly bigger than a portable ana didn't accept my fire stick so unable to watch iPlayer etc. Poor really when you consider the cost of the rooms. Pricea in the restaurant for food was over the top. 22.50 for a steak pie is obscene. I stay for work and they pay. But I wouldn't if I was paying

The location is excellent, the rooms are clean and very large, it's a spotless hotel, and the breakfast is also very good.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. They also helped us with our parking for the weekend which was really helpful. Thank you.
