Stayed a few times and host (Tony) is fantastic- great breakfast. Sadly won’t be staying again as being taken over by a shambles of a company who have made Tony redundant - SHAMBLES!

Great traditional pub in the centre of town, Bedrooms look to have been recently refurbished and were very clean and well appointed. Breakfast was excellent.

Under new management, kitchen closed and was only informed when I got there, therefore no cooked breakfast.
Shower tray flooded, water all over the bathroom floor which is rotting the bathroom door. No staff around in the morning

Under new management and not fully staffed as yet. Staff were lovely, friendly and friendly helpful. Bar was reasonably stocked but very expensive. A bottle of red wine was £29.
Disappointed that the kitchen is permanently closed so no cooked breakfast. A breakfast hamper of cereals, fruit and yogurt instead

The black hat was so hot I chose to sleep in my car. Poor ventilation an inadequate fan and a radiator left on! When I arrived I was told I hadn’t paid. I had to prove I had and the bed wasn’t set up with twin beds as requested. The staff tried to help and appoligised but it wasn’t a good experience. The time it took to rearrange the bed meant we had to get ready for special night in a rush.

Stayed for 2 nights, there was no parking and to park in the local car park for the two days cost £42 so would definitely not stay again, the staff were friendly, inconsistent breakfast really good on the 1st morning 2 of everything and very filling, 2nd day was 1 of everything, not much choice either Full English or sandwiche, no decaf tea available.
There are no staff in the building overnight so if there are any problems you have a number to call.

On arriving, the systems were down and was a bit chaotic due to being taken over 2 days prior. We said we would go for a walk and check in properly when we got back. This went a little smoother but staff still didnt know 2hat they were doing.
For the price you would expect a clean bathroom. However on closer inspection in the morning, it was really dirty.
Unfortunatley we went down for breakfast and the poor member of staff was on her own, taking breakfast orders, cookingand keeping the drinks area topped up.
All 7 rooms where full and it was unfair that she was on her own.
No time to talk to you and therefore no time.to.discuss what was found.
