This hotel was amazing. It is old, but you feel like you are staying in a part of history. Everyone was very nice and the breakfast was amazing. We loved the true Japanese breakfast. We will stay at this hotel again when we go back to Kyoto. There is a wonderful pizza place around the corner as well.

Es war eine sehr eindrucksvolle Erfahrung, einmal die traditionelle japanische Kultur hautnah zu erleben. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen. Es gab Tee zur Begrüssung und warme Tücher zum Reinigen der Hände und des Gesichts. Alles wurde uns mit viel Liebe zum Detail erklärt.
Die Yukata waren wunderschön und haben das Erlebnis abgerundet. Das Onsen war zwar klein, aber als private Nutzung definitiv eine besondere Erfahrung. Auch das Schlafen auf den japanischen Futon-Matratzen am Boden war etwas ganz Neues für uns.
Das traditionelle japanische Frühstück war spannend, traf jedoch nicht ganz unseren Geschmack.
Einziger negativer Punkt war das WC, es war sehr klein und eng.
Insgesamt war es ein tolles Erlebnis und absolut empfehlenswert.

This Ryokan is dated, one older lady in the restaurant is very very rude, yes, we were late for breakfast booking time by 10mins , I could understand little Japanese and she is saying make her tired, and pointing her watch telling us don’t be late next day, even my mother is near 70 and she is bit slow , but that lady still talk to her like that. Can’t not believe it, the rest others were ok, but for her I will never go back again

酒店：前台沟通无障碍，老爷爷和老奶奶也都很nice很搞笑，服务员也很有礼貌，时间观念很强，酒店因为也有一定年份了，所以比较旧，酒店里有泡汤，能洗去一天的奔波疲惫，到酒店只能坐地铁到蹴上站，步行能到南禅寺和永观堂，我们到了酒店多加了两个早餐，但我们自己时间安排不妥当所以尝不了他们的怀石，有点难过，下次有机会希望再去，但不会通过这种方式订房。
加上税和服务费，没有任何餐三千多一晚，不是图中所显示的那些房间，比较小，花园落地窗也就一面，比在图中看的出入比较大，去这里就是为了追求他们的阳台花园美景的，但到了之后就如图，有点失望，这样的价格就是这样的房间，希望能详细的标明每一种房型的具体价格，长途跋涉到了这里钱也给了，但却得不到自己想要的，真的是太失望了，是平台的问题还是我自己贪便宜？？？

The hotel is not worth the money — the price is overrated. You feel more like you’re staying in someone’s private home than in a hotel, with constant oversight from the management. They are not very welcoming to children. The rooms are small, and I was charged three times the usual tax. On the positive side, the breakfasts are good, and the sauna is nice.

we recently stayed here for 3 nights. the property is very close to nanzen-ji, in a charming area of kyoto, away from some of the very crowded tourist areas such as gion. the early morning walk to the nanzenji is one of the highlights of our stay in kyoto. it has a beautiful garden and very friendly staff. one thing i did not like is the bathroom in our room is really small and basic, reminds me of a company dormitory i once stayed in japan. overall it has been a very good experience.
