JEN Penang Georgetown by Shangri-La住宿政策及一般資訊
As announced by Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Tourism Tax is imposed starting 1 January 2023 for all hotel guests that are non-Malaysian or non-permanent Residents of Malaysia. Please expect that hotel will collect the Tourism Tax from you during check-in at the hotel. The Tourism Tax rate is 10 RM per room per night.
Deposit Policy
Deposit MYR 200.00 is required upon check-in. The accommodation accepts cash, debit or credit card.
Minimum Age for Check-in Policy
Minimum age to check-in is 18. Minor guests must be accompanied by adults upon check-in.
入住/退房時間
Accommodation charges MYR 53.00/guest for extra breakfast.
Breakfast at the accommodation will be provided from 06:30 - 10:30.
Smoking is prohibited in the accommodation.
Pets are not allowed in the accommodation.
Lift access is not available from basement car park to hotel’s lobby but accessible with a short flight of stairs. Guest can drop off their bags at the hotel’s main entrance.

Hotel JEN Penang is committed to providing its guests and associates with a smoke-free environment from 1 June 2022 onwards.
Smoking, including vaping and e-cigarettes, is not permitted in the guest rooms or any other areas within the hotel.
Although smoking is not permitted within hotel buildings themselves, guests who smoke are permitted to do so outside in Designated Smoking Areas.
Our Club Lounge on Level 16 is open daily from 11am to 9pm. Guests can enjoy all-day refreshments, evening cocktails and snacks at the Club Lounge as well as to check-in and check-out during the operation hours. Breakfast will be served at Café Jen on Lobby Level.
The Penang State Government has implemented a mandatory “Hotel Fee” (Local Government Fee) of MYR 3 nett per room per night. The Hotel Fee will be collected upon check-out, in addition to the 10% Service Charge and 8% Government Tax (SST).
A Tourism Tax of MYR 10 nett per room, per night applies to foreign passport holders arriving from 1 January 2023 onwards. This is collected by the hotel on behalf of the government upon check-out, and is not included in your total room cost. All Malaysian Nationals and Permanent Residents are exempted. Guests arriving on or before 31 December 2022 are exempted from Tourism Tax as announced by the Federal Government.
