How this hotel is labeled 4 stars is beyond me. When we walked into the room we immediately saw stains all over the carpeting. The wall was covered in stains (one looked like a smushed bug), food, scuff marks. The pictures did not match with real life at all.
The positives- washer/dryer in the room, the bedding was clean, as was the bathroom. Really good location, central to a lot of attractions/restaurants/shops.

If 2.5 stars were an option, this is what I'd give it. Check-in was easy except for the fact the code that was provided in the email was incorrect. Fortunately, a kind person let us in and provided us with the code. We had to do the same fo a few others after us. The location is perfect on Young Street as we walked to all locations we visited in the city. The restroom was clean but the shampoo, and conditioner bottles had a strange ring of soap scum around them. We refrained from using them. The towels were clean but had a few stains. The comforter for the sofa bed had two large stains that appeared to be urine. Luckily, there was a second comforter in the closet that we were able to use. The mattress on the sofa bed was stiff but manageable. In the bedroom, the sheets were clean but had some staining. I looked at the mattress and put the sheets back because it looked dingy. This was not an eccomical stay by any means. Its was cheaper than a luxury stay and I would have expected better quality.

Room was sizeable enough, and clean, though run-down in appearance. And at least one of the advertised kitchen appliances was non-functioning, and apparently had been for awhile as there was a professionally printed sign notifying it was out of order. Regarding parking:
I searched the booking site for options that included parking and this place came up. That is very misleading. Parking, beneath the building, and accessible only through the lobby, has been farmed out to a third party app and cost us almost as much as a night in the hotel. The hotel refused to provide instructions for accessing the parking, repeatedly referring us back to the app. Instructions for getting into the garage, which used an antiquated auto lift, were zero. Hotel staff were not present onsite, so overall the whole check-in process was incredibly stressful. Completely impersonal. Would not stay here again for those reasons.

Good location walkable to the park and castle, great food options. Staff was very nice and helpful. Only small improvement suggestion is that everything had a very strong bleach smell from the hallways to elevator and in the bathroom, which meant everything was very clean, but nowadays there are cleaning products that have a less strong odor. It did feel a bit more like a hospital and less like a hotel at times.

A great location but a few issues with the room and late-night outside noise was a bit challenging. We had a room that was overlooking the alley, it was super noisy with a local pub staff taking cigarette breaks during the evening, emptying glass bottles at 2am etc. We had friends on the other side that slept well so i would suggest requesting a road-facing room rather than alley, Also, our shower broke and they didn't have weekend maintenance - with two kids a bit challenging, although to be fair the host did find us a spare room to shower for one of the mornings. Also, the rooms felt a bit dated, grubby walls etc. However, the location is perfect and you within walking distance of everything.

We were looking for a place that had a small kitchen and laundry to finish off a long trip and this apartment was available. The positives are that the location is good and the check in process is automated and easy. The lady who works there is very sweet but seems to be overwhelmed by the numerous issues at this property. We had to call her numerous times as the messages via their portal were unanswered to this day. First of all the apartment did not look like the photos. It was bare and resembled a started apartment for a bachelor who is going through a divorce. Whoever used it before ate there right before check out and the windows were not open so the place was super hot and smelled. Keep in mind it was close to 80 degrees outside. We were not told that the air conditioner was only in the bedroom which makes the listing deceiving. Luckily we were moved to an aired out room and the nice lady set up the futon for as since the previous room did not have that ready. There is no coffee maker here but only coffee packets. The kitchen was dirty and falling apart. The biggest complaint I have is that their washer and dryer is not functioning properly. My clothes were in the dryer for 3 hours until 12am and did not dry. I had to put on wet pants and pack all wet clothes and take it on a 14 hour journey back home. Had to rewash due to smell. The wet clothes made my carry on luggage overweight by 2 kg and I had to pay $86 to check in my luggage.
