This morning, one of the male staff members was extremely kind and helpful! He took care of our luggage and even called a taxi for us. We were having a difficult time because we were traveling with three children, but he helped us so kindly. Thank you very much for your excellent service and kindness! 😊
However, it was a little disappointing that there was no freezer in the room. Still, the staff were so friendly and helpful that it didn’t bother us too much. Overall, we were happy with our stay. 😊

The hotel is quite old the room window is no sound proof so you can hear the traffic pass during night sleep and during morning. The air conditioning in the room is set for cold so cannot turn to warm so very cold in oct even when you switch off the air conditioning. The shower water is very difficult to control which cold for long time almost when I finish shower turn into warm. In the morning when you want sleep you can hear the housekeeping is cleaning outside. The double bed is two bed put together which not comfortable. Overall is not recommeded is not value for money. I feel is not a very comfortable.

This hotel is in a Great location in the Gothic Quarter, very close to Barcelona's magnificent Cathedral. It is steps from the History Museum, and even has exposed Roman ruins right on its premises! The staff were all very nice & helpful, the shower was good, and housekeeping was fine. The downside is that the rooms are Very Small. We had a Triple, but it is really not big enough for 3 people. Our luggage didn't even fit in the room - we had to step over each other's bags to get into bed. Also, there are not enough outlets for even basic electronics (1 laptop & 1 phone each) and the internet is terrible. We ended up just using a hotspot off our cell phones. I don't know if these problems are common in the old Gothic Quarter, but you should know about these limitations if you need your laptop and a little elbow room.

Front desk staff is informative regarding the local activities available and how to get there. Breakfast availability needs to be adjusted to meet the needs of the early morning travelers who stay at the hotel or perhaps offer a voucher to a neighboring cafe for those early morning travelers. This was one of the best hotel experiences! We've been traveling a LOT and hands down, this stay was a favorite! ALL of the people we met were cheerful and welcoming. The room was spacious and clean and quiet. The breakfast was amazing with so many choices. I highly recommend Gran Hotel Barcino!

We loved our room and terrace. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. The location was spot on in the Gothic area to walk to many great and stores. We would love to return. Grab one of their free Barcelona maps at check in, super helpful.

Top location, very central. Yes, its a bit noisy during the night and also starting early in the morning but thats the price to pay for being centrally located. The staff was extremely nice and the room very spacious with a small balcon.

Un séjour d'exception entre confort moderne et histoire romaine !
Nous avons passé un séjour inoubliable au Gran Hotel Barcino. Tout était réuni pour une expérience parfaite. Notre chambre, située dans la nouvelle partie de l'hôtel, était spacieuse, moderne et d'un confort absolu. L'emplacement est tout simplement idéal : en plein centre-ville et à deux pas du métro, ce qui facilite grandement l'exploration de la ville.
Le personnel mérite une mention spéciale : toujours prévenant et attentionné, il a su rendre notre séjour très agréable sans jamais être intrusif.
Le petit-déjeuner était un véritable régal, avec un buffet parfait offrant un large choix de produits frais et de qualité (mention spéciale pour la tortilla et les œufs en ramequin !).
Mais la cerise sur le gâteau de cet hôtel, c'est son musée intégré.
C'est une expérience unique de pouvoir admirer des ruines romaines murs de pierre, jarres antiques) directement au sein de l'établissement. Cela donne une âme incroyable au lieu.
Nous recommandons sans aucune hésitation et reviendrons avec grand plaisir !
