Unique hotel in outstanding location. Several unexpected features make the stay memorable. Bed was acceptable but not as comfortable as others on our trip in Spain. Bedroom cosy but view spectacular. Dinner excellent and breakfast good. Wine tour very interesting. Would highly recommend for a stopover in Rioja.

This hotel checked all the boxes; cleanliness, great accommodation's, great service, great food and wines! The property itself was impeccably maintained with plenty of quiet spaces to walk. Corina our server for breakfast and lunch is worth the visit. She made our experience at the property memorable. The food was amazing. The cochinillo, the croquetas and the cheese boards just to mention a few are all worth tasting. The property chef does a fantastic food offering a variety and delightfully tasty options. The rooms are spacious with great views of the vineyards.

Absolutely fantastic!
The view is breathtaking, nice room, great breakfast and dinner restaurant. The ability to look into the huge storage of over 4 thousand barrels of wine from the panoramic-elevator and hallway outside the room is amazing. The winery's story is very interesting and a visit to the impressing site is a must. Best possible Bodega to visit in La Rioja!

We upgraded to a balcony room when we arrived, which I highly recommend - the views are STUNNING and it was really amazing to sit out and enjoy the view with a glass of wine. The tasting room is down the hill from the hotel, and easy to walk down for a glass. Room was spacious and comfortable.
The only challenge we had was with eating - unfortunately due to the combination of it being during the week and low season, neither the tasting room kitchen nor the hotel restaurant kitchen were open from about 3-8pm, so no food was available. It would have been nice to be able to have a small snack or pintxo available during that time.
But overall, pleasant staff, easy location in the area, absolutely beautiful setting. Would recommend.

Frontdesk- Horrible Customer Service
I booked Hotel Eguren Ugarte expecting a relaxing experience, but it turned into a stressful stay. I was given a smoking room, despite having asthma and clearly explaining my condition to the staff. They did not offer any resolution. Only when my husband noticed other available rooms did they say we could switch—but only if we paid extra. In the end, we had no choice but to pay for an upgrade just so I could stay without risking an emergency room visit.
The front desk personnel were unhelpful and dismissive, and the manager was unavailable to speak with us for the entire 24 hours of our stay. For a property of this level, this level of customer service is beyond unacceptable.
The vineyard and the property itself are beautiful, and their Grande Reserve wine (not the regular Reserve) is nice. But customer service at the hotel is beyond bad. I would NOT recommend staying here.
