So when you charge prices that are only somewhat below high end hotels like the Grand one expects above average levels. The hotel lift only handled 5 people max. Qute but not practical Breakfast selection is limited and service was spotty. On one day our room was being cleaned at 5 pm Overall disappointing stay.

Hotel Diplomat remains one of the best locations in Stockholm. The staff could not be more accommodating or helpful in every way. I love staying here. However, the hotel is in need of a remodel - some wear and tear that is starting to come through in the entire experience.

Me and my wife regrettably stayed here for her birthday and our anniversary. Overall a pretty worn out and dirty room (superior room). Service was unfortunately worthless. I ordered a bottle of champagne for me and my wife to be in the room upon check in beforehand which they had forgotten about and I had to call for (add to that a telephone queue to the reception). I also came earlier that day to leave our luggage to be brought up to the room. Upon arrival it was still not brought up as they seemed to had forgotten about it. When we came back to the room later that night we realised the bed only had one cover in the bed and we had to call for another. The breakfast was bland and very basic. We’ve stayed here three times before (even had our wedding night here) and it’s just gotten worse and worse. We live in Stockholm and this was our celebratory staycation which would probably have been nicer if we just stayed at home. Sad to see and with such bad service as well

Bra rum och badrum, det fanns allt man behövde inkl att göra sig en liten kopp kaffe. Bra aircondition. God frukost, inte så stor men väl utvalda. En meny där du kan välja att beställa diverse som omelette mm. Fin service. Saknar som alltid på hotellrum två ställ för resväskor. Det är alltid en som får ha sin på golvet eller på en möbel. Bott på de flesta 5 ⭐️hotell i Sthlm och återkommer gärna hit. Ett extra + för att jag fick checka ut lite senare efter att jag insjuknat under natten och utan att ta extra betalt för den service

They’ll upgrade you ( with a fee ) to room nobody wants to stay with horrible class door closing sound just next to the room. Also sea views are limited to the road and harbour pool and the noises from speeding cars are terrible. They said this is nice room, so was fooled..😞 Luckily stayed only one night, would fled. otheewise Ask which room you will be upgraded beforehand and decline id they are offering room no 101 by all means. They could also leave the arrogant attitude behind

Terrible experience! Not what I expected from a 5 star hotel. There is no AC in the rooms!!! The hotel is old, some would say charming, I say old, it has one single elevator that you have to say a small prayer every time you board. I stayed at this hotel because I wanted water front views and such rooms are spacious, but if you visit in the summer think twice as such rooms get so much light, that you have to close the blinds as there is no AC in the room and it gets uncomfortably warm. And there lies most of my terrible experience. As soon as we checked in I was given an upgrade in one of the 2 rooms, only to discover that there was a fan in the room, as I tried to work with the AC there seemed to be a malfunction I quickly contacted the front desk who said and I quote “there is no AC in Stockholm” I was quite taken aback, but being my first time in Sweden I thought maybe that was a thing. We slept with the windows open and had to deal with the noice and the 4 AM sunrise, so it was a terrible. We complained again and they said they would work on it. No one ever called or did absolutely anything to make our stay more bearable. They forbade my son from having outside food in the empty hotel terrace bar saying it was the LAW in Stockholm, it’s not by the way. The hotel staff went out of their way to make my son feel uncomfortable and he had to eat the meatballs in the sidewalk. DO NOT STAY HERE, the staff is rude and just lie to guests to make excuses for shortcomings.

Carpet has stains

Great atmosphere and location. The rooms and hotel is clean and smells good. The beds are very comfortable as well are the pillows. I wish the blackout curtains covered better as the light woke me up at 4am and that the AC could be cooler (it was on but barely felt it). The breakfast is awesome, love the options from the menu as well as the buffé! I will continue to return here every time we go back to Stockholm which is once a year!

Siisti ja mukava hotelli hyvällä aamiaisella. Sain huoneen käyttööni jo ennen sisäänkirjautumisaikaa sen ollessa valmis. Ystävällinen mutta usein hidas palvelu. Varauksen kanssa oli ongelma ja vaikka se selvitettiin ystävällisesti, jouduin selittämään saman asian vielä kolmesti uudestaan eri työntekijöille, koska tietoa ei ilmeisesti merkitty järjestelmään.

Flott hotell med historie og følelse av kvalitet

Morgenmaden var langt fra optimal for et 5 stjernet hotel. Kedeligt udvalg og langt bedre på de 5 andre hoteller, vi var på i samme ferie i Sverige. Man kunne vælge forskellige omeletter. Vi valgte omelet med grønsager. Den bestod primært at svampe. 2. dag bad vi at få uden svampe og med grønsager. Men vi fik det samme igen. Ham der anviste os bordet og maden var meget underdanig og humorforladt. Den anden tjener var betænksom og behagelig. Håndtaget til badeværelset faldt af og måtte fikses. Det var fortsat meget skrøbeligt. Det var umuligt at finde ud af, hvordan brusebadet virkede. Ufattelig larm fra gaden fredag og lørdag aften, hvor muskel-biler kører frem og tilbage. Vi klagede over dette, men fik at vide, at sådan havde det altid været. Det er jo ikke en måde at ændre larmen på, ved blot at passivt acceptere det. Jeg vil ikke anbefale hotellet til andre pga. larmen. Hotellet bør igen og igen skrive til politet, at det ikke er acceptabelt.

An elegant gem, lots of character and style and absolutely 5 star service. Simply gorgeous. Thanks to Jenny, Mutaza and Victoria, any issues (I booked an extra night & I wanted to upgrade) were just magically resolved with a smile. A beautiful stylish hotel. My room was just perfect. Right on the waterfront. You can walk everywhere you might need to go. Much better than the most fancy hotels in every way. I will be back. Thank you!

Excellent hotel for business or vacation

The safe is great. The location is great. But be heads-up going during warm months as they don’t have AC
