Good value, Helpful staff, Super shower, Excellent breakfast

Lovely hotel, clean, well supplied amenities. Disappointed that room service was not as advertised.

Friendly staff good location found the room quite dusty, the bed was very uncomfortable.

Second time I’ve stayed here this year. Everyone’s always friendly and helpful good quality rooms for a good price and even got upgraded on our first stay. Will definitely be returning

The room was very dated and basic . Buffet breakfast excellent. Asked at reception about parking and was directed to an ncp about 200 yards away which charged £32.00 for 24 hours ! Instead I Parked on Cathedral Rd about half a mile away for free and had a pleasant walk through a park to the hotel

Location and staff were excellent. Enjoyed breakfast. There was a leak in the roof which they were busily repairing after a rainstorm the previous night.

Room was clean, hotel itself is in need of lots of TLC

I liked the big spacious room with a good view, Staff were helpful and friendly especially the lady in the Restaurant whom you meet when you go in , Nice breakfast , it’s a pity I didn’t read more about it as I good have saved £5 by booking on line ,nice bar but didn’t drink in hotel . The cooked breakfast was well cooked, not really keen on rubbery fried eggs but sausage & bacon was ok. Plenty of fruit, cereals, yogurt etc tho.

Room only, shower was in a bath but mat provided & told them tv was not working on leaving - dated but great for hotels.com price which was cheaper than hotels website

The room has damp in it and i think needs updating with the wall paper coming away from the walls. Shame can’t open the windows! Mattress was very soft so was unable to get comfortable! Loved the view and f the castle. Breakfast was a little disappointing but eatable. Everything looks so grand in the hotel itself just the room 302 was a bit of a let down. Loved playing games in the bar with a drink. I would probably stay again.. not all negative feed back here really although might come across like that. Staff pleasant and was happy to help with a smile on their faces.

Breakfast very good quality. Hotel a bit run down, needs some work. Staff very nice and helpful.

We didn’t have breakfast or use the bar. The only recommendation I would like to see is new windows. The windows are old and not double glazed so it is very noisy at night.
