Lake Emerald is so beautiful that we will visit again. Guest may note cars must be parked at their remote parking lot and get the shuttle to the front desk

Now I am extremely disappointed with my experience in Expedia and Emerald Lake lodge. In previous review I mentioned I booked two different type rooms including a more expensive Point Cabin. I notified that my confirmed room would not be available when I check-in, they only can offer two lakeview rooms. which is good side by side. the front desk said I will get refund from Expedia. I am loyalty customer of Expedia and I trust the hotel and Expedia will work on it due to their mistakes. However, I have been forced to spend countless hours follow in up, contacting both, explain the situation every time I called, the refund was still calculated incorrectly. I sent my booking confirmation, screenshots to show the price difference should be. I didn’t get response for two days. I called Expedia again, I need to tell the story again. What is the most frustrating is that the refund should have been one of the simplest parts to resolve. The price difference between the room I booked and the room I actually received is obvious for the booking confirmation. It seems incredibly difficult for them to understand. Expedia said they need another 24 hrs, I received an email called “your penalty waiver request”…have no idea why they called penalties…I never asked any additional compensation, I just ask the correct refund I should get

I would still give this property a high rating because staying here is the best way to fully experience the beauty and tranquility of Emerald Lake. However, my overall experience was affected by several issues. Shortly after I booked through Expedia, I started receiving scam emails and phone calls almost every day. Fortunately, I recognized that the calls were not coming from Expedia's official phone number, so I was not scammed. Still, it was concerning that this only started after making my reservation. The bigger issue happened at check-in. The front desk did not inform me that my booked room type was unavailable until I pointed out that my two reservations should have been two different type with one being more expensive. The manager then explained that Expedia had not updated its room inventory, so the room type I booked was no longer available. However, before booking, I had compared the room types on both Expedia and the hotel's official website, and they matched, so I do not believe this was simply an Expedia inventory issue. I had to accept a different room type. The manager told me that Expedia had already been notified and that I would receive a refund for the difference. Unfortunately, I have still not received any email or refund confirmation. When I contacted Expedia, they said they had no record of this arrangement. I am now left caught between the hotel and Expedia, with no resolution.

The arrival process was terrible, had to wait at the parking area for a long time and one of the staff was abrupt. Eventually got on the transport to the hotel. Check in was a little chaotic but we got to our room. Room was ok but a little shabby but great views of the lake. HOWEVER, outside of our room we had so many non hotels guests looking in our windows and climbing our room steps to take photos. Was really not nice. Called reception who said the manager had to call back but never did so called again. Said they were going to put a sign and chain up. They did the sign but why was it not there before?? Tried to book a restaurant time but couldn’t as full but was told could just turn up at the bar area. We did but there was no space. The staff there were lovely and did their best for us. Eventually we were seated. The experience of the room 103 and 104 was not great and felt like you were in a goldfish bowl. Mind you the number of non hotels guests looking guests in the resort was crazy so if we were not staying it would have been very difficult to see the lake so that was a plus. So would I recommend it, I am afraid not based on our experience but to see the lake was fantastic.

Great setting and lovely cabin, a bit dated and adds to the charm. Dinner in the restaurant was not as good as our last visit and apart from that all good.

Super nice place...you can truly unwind at the wonderful property. Would return in a heartbeat.

Emerald Lake Lodge is a magical place. We couldn’t have asked for anything more beautiful, more relaxing, and any better customer service. Keep up the great work you guys were fabulous.

This is luxury at its finest staying at the point cabin at Emerald lake lodge. It is our favorite stay of all time! Staff is friendly and food is excellent. Highly recommend!!

Besides the spectacular view, the bathroom amenities are first clasd.

Good property. Don’t think it has AC but didn’t matter to us.

Spectacular views to explore and unplug. It was a lot of fun to light a wood fire and enjoy the cracking while relaxing.

Beautiful stay at Emerald Lake lodge. The canoeing on the lake was magical and our dinner was so beautiful and delicious. Can’t wait to come back.

We loved our stay at Emerald Lake Lodge. Our room was clean and we enjoyed sitting on our deck with a great view of the lake. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

I like its location but room is terrible. Sewage is blocked, door keys stuck and hardly unlocked or locked the door Construction was during our stay right front entrance cabin, this is safety concerns

First, the scenery is as good as it gets. The staff are all very pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant is excellent. Breakfast buffet was good and dinner was real fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. The room was a bit dated or should I say rustic. For example the deck was not well maintained with peeling paint and dirty. The bathroom was adequate but not high end. Biggest complaint was housekeeping did not show 4 days out of our 8 day stay. Fortunately we are pretty neat to begin with so it was not a major impact. I called the first day and received a delivery of clean towels. After that it became more of an imposition to have to call so we accepted it for what it was. I know the rest of the staff were all really hard working young people from around the globe so their housekeeping may have been overwhelmed.

Will be back.

Room assigned was located at end of park which was perfect for less utv activity. Beautiful view and comfortable room. Loved the balcony. Staff did their best with the limited resources they had to work with-i.e. shuttle services. Dinner at the Mount Burgess Dining room was an excellent experience both in our menu and view!

Amazing place to stay, moved into my top place I have ever stayed in (up from Many Glacier Hotel in Glacier National Park!). Highly recommend, beautiful property, service was exceptional, and it was wonderful after the influx of crowds left at night. We are going back and can’t wait!
