Afternoon tea lovely. Rooms clean & very spacious but in need of a decor upgrade. Pool nice and warm but can get very overcrowded with kids. Hot tub and sauna not working and changing rooms very tatty and in need of immediate upgrade and clean.

We went there with some friends for an afternoon tea which was fantastic, the food was lovely. We stayed overnight and our room was very spacious clean and tidy. The only thing I would say was the spa area was terrible, the changing rooms were not very nice, the changing room doors were broken, the lockers were in a terrible state and the windows around the pool had lots of leaks, moldy and not fitted properly. But otherwise all good.

Room spacious and clean. Bed was huge and so comfortable. Food was nice. Breakfast was nice the only slightly negative thing was glasses and plates were not replenished we had to ask for that to be done despite 2 staff being in the area. Otherwise cannot fault the hotel . staff were welcoming at reception

Room was clean and dry, but light for bathroom was motion sensor and kept going off all night. No spoon for the tea/coffee but the kettl didn’t flick off once boiled either. Last day the continental breakfast had no bowls out for the cereal or plates for toast.

Both times I have stayed here spa not working this should be said when booking no refund

The hotel was very quiet at this time of year. The room was very comfortable and had everything I needed, including an excellent shower. I didn't have time to use any of the facilities or eat there.

The room was nice. Booked as a 'Spa hotel' and arrived to find hot tub and sauna out of order for the stay. Showers were cold. Stayed new years eve, and day so probably not usual for the hotel but also couldnt eat in the restaurant at 7 on jan 1st. Girl behind the bar smirked and said 'chef has gone home' shrugging her shoulder's. No notice about this or communication that there would be reduced services over our stay.

Sauna closed, disappointing

Large room and friendly staff. This is the second time we’ve stayed and both times the pool and spas have been out of action. Very disappointed that we were not offered anything by way of compensation.

Room was fine but the bed a bit hard. Staff were fantastic. Have stayed before and never had any problems. Lovely place to relax. Pool is small but there is a sauna and jacuzzi. The steam room was shut.

When we arrived we paid for an upgrade that should have cost £10.00. The next day £15.00 was taken from my bank. When we spoke to the manager, she said it would be returned, this has yet to happen. The room was stifling hot, even in November with the windows open. We asked for and were provided with a noisy fan, which helped a little. The bed was probably one of the most uncomfortable we’ve attempted to sleep in, the assistant manager agreed that they were awful. We were looking forward to a well earned break, without the children, and chose this hotel for its Spa and Pool facilities. On evening one, we needed to avoid the pool due to classes taking place. On morning two, we were asked to vacate the pool for yet more swim classes! All of the above points were discussed with the manager at the time of checking-out. She explained that she has no authority to return any monies etc, even the overcharge payment. Apparently, the boss won’t give that level of autonomy, even to the manager, which we found rather odd, clearly a lack of trust between owner and staff. We would use this hotel as our regular place if we had been treated better. Very disappointing stay, very disappointed with the staff, and very disappointed with the lack of use of the Spa facilities.
