Great experience as this is my first time to disneyland. We were able to enjoy more than 10 rides & performance in whole day. The firework show at the end of the day was awesome.

I visited Hong Kong Disneyland with my family and overall it was fun, but the food was very expensive. But the popcorn and peach ice cream were very good.

Easy to book, good price, just show the QR code and you can use it, no need to do anything else. Didn't buy an additional pass, went at around 11am, collected 10 rides, recommend going on the day that is tier 1, it's great.

Magical Experience at Hong Kong Disneyland! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A visit to Hong Kong Disneyland is truly one of the most enjoyable experiences! From the quick ticket exchange process to entering the park, everything is neatly arranged without long lines. The staff are friendly and always ready to help, making the atmosphere more comfortable and enjoyable. 🌟 The entire park area is very clean, including the comfortable and well-maintained toilets—the little details that make the experience even more perfect. Iconic rides like Mystic Manor, Iron Man Experience, and Hyperspace Mountain are all incredibly exciting! And the most spectacular? Of course, the fireworks show in front of the Castle of Magical Dreams! Starting at around 8:30 p.m., this attraction is truly a grand and unforgettable ending. The lights, music, and special effects are goosebumps—a must-see! 🎆🏰 If you are in Hong Kong, Disneyland is a must-visit destination. Suitable for all ages, and ready to transport you to a world of magic!

It was my first time visiting Hong Kong, and maybe because it's not peak season and I started my journey from the back which is frozen, I only waited around 5-15 for attractions. Really a nice experience for the first time visit. Also the Marvel sky star and last castle show are so amazing.

The price in the app is much cheaper compared to others, especially if you buy a lot of tickets, I happened to go with my family so it felt cheaper. Then there is no need to make a reservation again if the ticket is from the app so it is not a hassle, just enter the barcode scan of the ticket in the email.

When I went to Hong Kong I really wanted to go to Disneyland, and buying a 2-day day pass on the app was really helpful, because I just showed it to the staff and could go in straight away.

More about Hong Kong Disneyland

Your Ultimate Guide to Hong Kong Disneyland – Aussie Style!

Whether you're a Mickey fan or just keen on a magical day out, Hong Kong Disneyland is a must-do for families, couples, and solo adventurers. Thinking about squeezing it into your Hong Kong itinerary? Here's everything you need to know before you dive headfirst into the fairy-tale fun!

How to Get to Hong Kong Disneyland from the Airport

Landing at Hong Kong International Airport and heading straight to Disneyland? Too easy, mate.

Here’s how:

  • By MTR (Train): The quickest way! Hop on the Airport Express to Tsing Yi Station, switch to the Tung Chung Line and ride to Sunny Bay. From there, transfer to the Disneyland Resort Line — it’s pink, themed, and has Mickey-shaped windows. You'll be at the gates in about 30–40 minutes.
  • By Taxi: Got kids in tow or loads of luggage? Grab a red or green taxi from the airport. It’ll take around 20 minutes, depending on traffic, and cost about HK$180–HK$250.
  • By Bus: Budget traveller? Bus route A11 or E11 will get you close, but you'll need to transfer. Not the quickest, but it’s scenic!

Tip for Aussie travellers: Get yourself an Octopus Card at the airport. It’s the easiest way to pay for public transport across Hong Kong – trains, buses, even convenience store snacks!

How Many Days Do You Need for Hong Kong Disneyland?

Short answer: 1 to 2 days, depending on your Disney dreams.

  • 1 Day: Perfect if you're on a tight schedule. You'll hit the major rides, catch a parade, snap pics with your favourite characters, and enjoy some tasty bites. Great for couples or solo travellers.
  • 2 Days: Ideal for families with kids or Disney die-hards. This lets you take your time, see both daytime and nighttime shows, and maybe revisit your favourite attractions without rushing.

Pro tip: Book a 2-day pass if you plan to go over a weekend or during public holidays — the queues can get long!

What Rides Are There in Hong Kong Disneyland?

From adrenaline-pumping thrills to gentle journeys through enchanted lands, Hong Kong Disneyland has rides for every kind of adventurer. Here are some of the top ones Aussies love:

For Thrill Seekers

  • Iron Man Experience – Strap in for a 3D flight with Tony Stark over Hong Kong. Exclusive to this park!
  • Hyperspace Mountain – A Star Wars-themed coaster through the galaxy. Yes, it’s as awesome as it sounds.
  • Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars – A wild ride with unexpected twists (literally).

For Families & Little Explorers

  • Mystic Manor – A spooky-but-fun trackless dark ride, unique to Hong Kong Disneyland.
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh – Classic, charming, and perfect for younger kids.
  • It's a Small World – A sweet, slow boat ride that’ll have the tune stuck in your head all day.

For Everyone

  • Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle! – Interactive, fast-paced, and full of surprises.
  • Toy Story Land – Shrink down to toy-size and hop on rides like Slinky Dog Spin and RC Racer.
  • Frozen Ever After (coming soon) – A magical new area opening soon, inspired by Arendelle!

Don’t forget the shows: “Festival of the Lion King” is a must-see live performance that brings the savannah to life. And the Nighttime Spectacular? Fireworks, lights, and music – total goosebumps!

When Is the Best Time to Visit Hong Kong Disneyland?

The magic never stops at Disneyland – but some times are definitely better than others. Here’s a quick guide to help you plan:

Best Months:

  • October to December – Pleasant weather, fewer typhoons, and festive vibes (Halloween and Christmas decorations!).
  • March to May – Springtime means mild temps and blooming flowers. Less humidity too!

Months to Avoid (if you can):

  • June to August – It’s hot, humid, and typhoon season. Also, school holidays = bigger crowds.
  • Chinese New Year (Jan–Feb, varies) – Cultural experience? 10/10. Crowd levels? Also 10/10.

Bonus tip: Time your visit with special events like Disney Halloween Time or Disney Christmas. Aussies used to celebrating big will love the over-the-top decorations, themed snacks, and exclusive shows!

Quick Tips for Aussie Visitors

  • Stay Hydrated – Hong Kong can get sticky in summer, so keep your water bottle handy.
  • Download the App – The Hong Kong Disneyland app shows live wait times, maps, and show schedules.
  • Try the Food – From Mickey waffles to dim sum shaped like Disney characters – the eats here are seriously fun!
  • Pack Light – But don’t forget sunscreen, a poncho (just in case), and comfy shoes. You’ll be walking a lot!

Ready for the Magic?

Whether you're six or sixty, Hong Kong Disneyland will sprinkle a little pixie dust on your trip. It’s a theme park with a twist of East-meets-West charm – and it’s just around the corner from Oz (well, sort of!).

So go on – grab your ears, charge your camera, and prepare to unleash your inner kid.
