Universal Studios Singapore’s location and how to get there
Universal Studios Singapore is located on Sentosa Island, just off the southern coast of Singapore city, approximately 15-20 minutes from downtown Singapore.
Here are all the ways you can get to Universal Studios Singapore:
- MRT and monorail: Take the North-East Line or Circle Line to HarbourFront Station. From there, walk into VivoCity Mall and hop onto the Sentosa Express monorail to Waterfront Station and head straight into Universal Studios. The total time for this journey is around 20 - 30 minutes.
- Bus: You can take a bus from HarbourFront or VivoCity instead of the monorail. Just hop onto the RWS8 bus and end up at Resorts World Sentosa — a short walk to the Universal Studios entrance.
- Car: You can also drive to Universal Studios Singapore. Park at the B1 East Car Park for easy access to the park.
Best time of year to visit Universal Studios Singapore
If you’re looking to avoid crowds, visiting Universal Studios Singapore on a weekday during non-school holiday periods is your best bet. Avoid public holidays and school breaks in June and December, as the park can get pretty busy with longer queues.
While Singapore is hot and humid all year round, visiting during February to April often brings slightly drier days. Just remember to wear light clothing and bring a portable electric fan (trust us) to stay cool while you’re waiting in lines.
Must-try rides and attractions at Universal Studios Singapore
- Battlestar Galactica: Human vs Cylon: Considered one of the most intense rides at Universal Studios, this is a pair of duelling roller coasters, with the ‘Human’ side being a standard sit-down rollercoaster, while the ‘Cylon’ side is an inverted coaster with inversions and an overall faster pace. For thrill-seekers and adrenaline junkies, this one is definitely worth lining up for.
- Transformers: The Ride 3D: Join the Autobots in a battle to save Earth. The Transformers: The Ride 3D is an immersive motion simulator ride and one of the most popular attractions in the park.
- Revenge of the Mummy: Scary and thrilling, the Revenge of the Mummy is an indoor roller coaster in a dark, high-speed setting. Think sudden drops, reverse launches, and jarring fire effects.
- Shrek 4D Adventure: Enjoy an immersive 4D theatre show with our favourites, Shrek and Donkey. It’s hilarious, adventurous, and bumpy all at the same time.
- Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure: Hopefully, you’ve packed a waterproof jacket, as the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure is a thrilling river raft journey filled with a few refreshing splashes (especially at the final drop).
- Minion Mayhem: Transform into a Minion and go on a chaotic adventure with Gru and his crew. This new 3D motion simulator ride is exclusive to Universal Studios Singapore.
- Buggie Boogie: The first-ever Minion-themed carousel. Expect a music-filled experience that is unique to Universal Studios Singapore.
