If you’re looking for a wine region in Australia, you’ll find one in Victoria! The state has more distinctive wine regions and wineries than any other in the country, totalling 21 wine regions overall. Though Victoria offers a variety of distinctive wineries and cellar doors, there are three areas that tend to be the most earmarked by tourists (although that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t take a trip to the other areas, which are just as impressive!).
Victoria’s most popular wine regions include the Yarra Valley (known for its pinot noir, chardonnay, cabernet sauvignon and shiraz), Mornington Peninsula (known for its pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot grigio/gris) and Rutherglen (best known for its fortified wines such muscat and topaque). Read on for Traveloka’s round up of the must-visit wineries in Victoria.

Make sure to stop by its on-site fine-dining restaurant which has won multiple awards.

This is likely because the Brown Brothers have been crafting wine since 1889 – long before any of us were born – and have made quite the name for themselves over the family’s five generations of wine-making. Visit this family-owned winery in King Valley and taste the iconic Australian wine. Even better, pair the tasting with grazing platters for the ultimate indulgence.
