Good location for where we needed to be. It also had the amenities that we required. The apartment we stayed in could do with new carpet and a good clean. Note the bathroom is in the main bedroom and there is no lift to the first floor, so bear these in mind. Close to transport and dining options.

We are really disappointed with the room. The air conditioner filters have clearly not been cleaned in over 6 months, if not more, there’s no smoke detector which would be a violation against Australian standards, god knows what was on the ‘clean’ bathmat (luckily there was a spare one), the fan in the bathroom is really loud, the shower head does not stay up when you use it, carpet had clearly not been vacuumed between guests and not enough glasses (1 wine glass is ridiculous), remote control for TV does not work properly, the whole complex completely open to the public provides no security. A complete rip off, should update photos to reflect the sub standard quality standard qubwitourprovider

The apartment was in need of a good clean. There was a good inch of dust around the skirting boards and flaked vinyl below the bed head. No mattress protecter meant that it was just the sheet and the mattress.(did not feel very hygienic). After giving them our credit card details (new card) we were hacked a few days later and had to cancel our credit card.

The location of the property is perfect and size of the room was great, but it really lacked beyond that especially in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. All of the plates, mugs and glasses were dirty, the phone was hanging off the wall, the walls scuffed with stains on the carpet, the bedroom window did not open and although having a washing machine in the room was a good addition there was no dryer and only a small old rusted clothes horse. I wasn't expecting it to be 5 stars, but surely being clean isn't too much to ask.

Would you stay in a room with blood stain on the carpet and they had to leave the windows open to try to rid of the urine smell as well as wet paint smell, I definitely did not! On checking in we noticed a few red flags....inaccurate description online pics are not what it seems, poor customer service (basically handed the keys and find the room yourself), scattered bags of rubbish left in foyer, apartment hallways and parking area, blood on carpet in lounge room and urine smell in bedroom. We walked into the apartment and looked at surroundings only to walk straight back out to reception to ask for refund. They offered another room but that too smelt mouldy. They contacted manger who refused refund, even Hotels.com tried to refund and yet still refused! Left me stranded as I then had to find an alternate accom nearby late in the evening. Should have taken photos but we were so disgusted.

I arrived to check in and was told that I had been sent a email saying the room was flooded, and they had transferred me to their sister motel in Highett. I did not have a car and had chosen this accommodation on the grounds that it was on the Sandringham line close to my friend’s place. The room was not cheap, but convenient to my method of public transport so I had paid more than I normally would. The sister motel was on the Frankston railway line, and although only 6km by car away from the Brighton Appartments, a long way for someone travelling by public transport. I asked my brother ( who had a car) if we could swap accommodation for the night. He drove to the Buckingham in Highett, only to be told there was no room for me/ him! After ringing the Brighton Apartments, they eventually provided a room for the night, and although I’d been promised a $1Au deal on the buffet breakfast by the Brighton Appts, my brother was told it would cost him $22.50! Poor service, untimely notice, no due regard for potential transport issues And costs. Things promised by one source, not delivered by the replacement service organised. Left a bad taste in one’s mouth.

Pretty ordinary! Noisy, dirty and difficult to locate, and very very poorly lit. Incredibly disappointing, people screaming in the complex, room is aged and filthy. Didn’t end up staying the night as felt incredibly unsafe, raised with property manager and he didn’t care as they already had our payment. INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTING! DO NOT STAY HERE! Price was comparable with surrounding properties so it certainly wasn’t a “budget” option!
