Brighton Serviced Apartments

I had an old saggy spring fold out camp bed in the 2nd bedroom that was not fun. Microwave was so high we couldn't reach it. Generally dilapidated and nothing like the photos of a deluxe 4 star property.

If youre looking for something cheap and convenient

The shower head was broken, have to hold it all through ya shower. Dogs are in other apartments and bark randomly night and day Toaster, plates and utensils dirty

I have never done this kind of review before but it was so bad that I feel compelled. Carpet heavily stained and ripped/frayed Bed bases ripped and badly worn Shower pressure almost non existent and hot water was barely warm with just hot tap on Several lamps in room broken Air con only worked on cold. No heat is not good in Melbourne in winter Supposed to have washing machine and dryer. Only had wash. Mattresses overhung the bed bases ripped making it uncomfortable Thank god we didn’t need a cot as they are left exposed to the elements and rusted. Would never put a baby in one. Glass on tables not secured and could easily slide off. Break hazard Furniture badly run down and in desperate need of replacing or reupholstering. Apartment was nowhere near close to what was pictured in adverts. Would rate less that 1 star if I could. Travel a lot for work and have stayed in country Motels and pubs that were far better than here. Beyond disappointed

The accommodation was atrocious

I hadd read some reviews and rang and spoke to a man on reception....he assured me that our room would be clean. I must admit that it was reasonably clean but very tired. Good points....clean white sheets, pillow cases and towels. The bed was quite comfortable as were the pillows. The kitchen was neat and tidy....we only used cups for a cup of tea. Bad points.... the entrance and passage ways reeked of cigarette smoke. Inside, the curtains in bedroom were hanging off and in lounge they weren't even hemmed. The whole apartment needed painting and the shower was full of mould. Also, toilet leaked. A lot of work needs to be done to bring it up tp standard.

Worse accommodation we have ever stayed in. Property does not reflect pictures on line. Mould in bathroom,carpet stained and tattered, lounge worn through in patches, should be thrown to tip,rangehood inoperable, slide out section falls to floor when attempting to operate, massive holes through bedroom door, doona unusable due to excessive staining, Luckily there is a Coles nearby where we were able to buy cleaning products to deep clean and disinfect complete unit, there was very limited cutlery,cups & plates but all were put through dishwasher before using, vanity falling apart, toilet clogging up. The two good things, clean sheets & hot water

Courteous staff. Room served our purpose.

Room was having a bug and utensil were not very good.

The rooms smelt horrible, stains on the carpet, not the four star deluxe room I was expecting.

Good location for where we needed to be. It also had the amenities that we required. The apartment we stayed in could do with new carpet and a good clean. Note the bathroom is in the main bedroom and there is no lift to the first floor, so bear these in mind. Close to transport and dining options.

We are really disappointed with the room. The air conditioner filters have clearly not been cleaned in over 6 months, if not more, there’s no smoke detector which would be a violation against Australian standards, god knows what was on the ‘clean’ bathmat (luckily there was a spare one), the fan in the bathroom is really loud, the shower head does not stay up when you use it, carpet had clearly not been vacuumed between guests and not enough glasses (1 wine glass is ridiculous), remote control for TV does not work properly, the whole complex completely open to the public provides no security. A complete rip off, should update photos to reflect the sub standard quality standard qubwitourprovider

Excellent location. Late check in was smooth. But the room was a bit unclean.

I did not stay at the property as the smell was horrible. Even though staff said they could not smell anything. This is not a nice place at all. I handed key back and didn't stay. Half refund. Never again

The apartment was in need of a good clean. There was a good inch of dust around the skirting boards and flaked vinyl below the bed head. No mattress protecter meant that it was just the sheet and the mattress.(did not feel very hygienic). After giving them our credit card details (new card) we were hacked a few days later and had to cancel our credit card.

they need to do a lot of Maintenace. g Guttering falling off. Rooms need a fresh coat of paint and carpets replaced. Oven dirty, still had old foil in the bottom.

The location of the property is perfect and size of the room was great, but it really lacked beyond that especially in terms of cleanliness and maintenance. All of the plates, mugs and glasses were dirty, the phone was hanging off the wall, the walls scuffed with stains on the carpet, the bedroom window did not open and although having a washing machine in the room was a good addition there was no dryer and only a small old rusted clothes horse. I wasn't expecting it to be 5 stars, but surely being clean isn't too much to ask.

Would you stay in a room with blood stain on the carpet and they had to leave the windows open to try to rid of the urine smell as well as wet paint smell, I definitely did not! On checking in we noticed a few red flags....inaccurate description online pics are not what it seems, poor customer service (basically handed the keys and find the room yourself), scattered bags of rubbish left in foyer, apartment hallways and parking area, blood on carpet in lounge room and urine smell in bedroom. We walked into the apartment and looked at surroundings only to walk straight back out to reception to ask for refund. They offered another room but that too smelt mouldy. They contacted manger who refused refund, even Hotels.com tried to refund and yet still refused! Left me stranded as I then had to find an alternate accom nearby late in the evening. Should have taken photos but we were so disgusted.

Our apartment was very comfortable, clean and reliable. Could not fault it.
